Condolences
My condences to Silke and the family on your loss. I have many fond memories of working for John and Silke at the Video Cellar. John was a super guy. He cared a lot about the people working for him. He even offered to be a reference for me when I was getting my first house. John, will be missed.

I would to send my condolences to John's family. I have so many memories and much thanks for my time at the Video Cellar. I'm sure John will be missed.
Dear Silke. We are so saddened to hear of John's passing and we send our condolences. We are sure that he will be deeply missed. He was a great story teller with a great sense of humor. He had the gift to make everyone laugh. He was ahead of his time with his business sense.

This is such sad news. John was a business associate and a friend. He was a very astute entrepreneur in a very difficult and constantly changing business. I always admired his tremendous street smarts. As a friend and golf buddy who accompanied him on several golf trips across the USA, I have great memories that I will be able to share with his many friends forever. I missed him when he moved to Calgary to be closer with his boys and I miss him more now. Fred
Dearest Silke, I was so shocked to hear of John’s passing. The years have passed but you both have been in my thoughts many times. Johnny was always good to me and fun to be around. I have some nice memories of the times I had spent with the two of you and your boys, Nick and Joseph. I am sure you are broken hearted but your love and memories will keep John close. He loved you with all his heart! Be well. With deepest sympathy, Debbie Ringaert(Tropak).
Silke, I was saddened to hear of John's passing. A bunch of us old St. Johns crew still get together & conversations end up with a round of remember when, or anybody hear from. We always had great times back in the day and I'll cherish them for as long as I'm above ground. I think I'll remember Shultz this week with a couple of fine scotches topped off with a beer.
My condolences to Silke and the boys.
John, or Smoothie as he anointed himself to describe his golf swing, was a joy to be around. One of the funniest and quick witted people I have ever known. Our weekly golf at Rossmere and our trips to various golf destinations are memories (with John and Rob) I will always cherish.
Rest In Peace, John.

Silke and family,
we are so saddened to hear of John's passing, we have many fun memories of the times he came to Chicago and Lake Shangri-la and he will be missed dearly.
Here is one of my favorite quotes which we also used for my father's passing.
“When through one man a little more love and goodness, a little more light of the truth comes into the world, then that man’s life has had meaning.”
We will keep you all in our hearts and prayers.

My sincere condolences to Silke, Nick, Joe and family for their loss. John and I go way back to kindergarten where we became close friends and best men at each other's weddings. When I first heard the news my own life with John flashed through my mind and the exceptional good times we had together as friends and business partners.
John lived a big life and accomplished many things that few others will ever achieve. Rest easy John, you deserve it.
