Obituary of Tom Murray

December 6, 1933 - London, Ontario

March 1, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Thomas Murray of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the age of 88 years.

Tom worked for Burns Meats from 1956 to 1975, and Agriculture Canada until 1991, before taking early retirement. His favourite pastimes included hiking, wood carving, and camping. He and Angie enjoyed a variety of interests, including square dancing, day trips with senior clubs, and short trips with their camper van.

Tom had a strong faith that after we pass on, the good Lord has prepared a better place than the world we see today. One of his favourite quotes was, “Prosperity and Happiness is not having everything, its having enough and knowing it.”

Tom is survived by his two sons, Malcolm, and Brent (Bonnie). He was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Angeline in 2020, an infant daughter Valerie in 1962 and by his two sisters, Lillian in 2001 and Donna in 2021.
