Condolences
My late husband, Gary, and I bought the house behind Bill and Eleanor 30 years ago. He has been a very good neighbour and for many years he used his snowblower to clear the sidewalks even though we were on the street behind him. We were all really sad when his wife, Eleanor, passed away and very sad, indeed to have Bill pass as well. Our sincere condolences to the whole family.
To the Murphy Family: I’ve had the privilege of knowing Bill for 75 years and considered him a very good friend. He was an outstanding athlete in all sports. We played on many teams together but it was always Bill that was one of the best players. Bill would do anything to help anyone and if you needed help just phone him and he’d be right there. When I was hired as Director of Plant for the new Rockyview Hospital, I was looking for a good assistant with a broad knowledge in mechanical, electrical, etc. So I phoned Bill and hired him and as usual he did a great job. He was instrumental in organizing large parties for Rockyview staff. We sat on the organizing committee for the Rockyview 50th anniversary celebration and Bill played an important role. Hundreds of players on many different sports teams will sure remember him and on their behalf I would like to say Thank You, Bill for being a great teammate. My condolences to the Murphy Family! He will be missed.
Sincerely Ron Olson and Family
