Obituary of Carol Margaret Dressler

May 27, 1946 – Estevan, Saskatchewan

March 5, 2022 – Okotoks, Alberta

Carol Dressler (nee Wanner), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the age of 75 years.

Carol was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan on May 27, 1946. Carol grew up in the farming community of Torquay, Saskatchewan. She worked as a teaching assistant and enjoyed a decade in the jewellery business. Once moving to Calgary, Alberta she completed additional schooling and worked in the clerical field before retiring as a special needs caregiver.

Carol loved spending time and travels with her family and friends and was an avid Elvis fan.

Carol will mostly be remembered for her beautiful smile, blue eyes and giving personality. One of her favorite sayings was, “It is my blessing to be your friend.”

Carol’s memory will be forever cherished by her children, Curtis (Nadine) Dressler and Terri-Lynne (Jim) Renner; grandchildren, Dillon (Cas) Dressler and Paisley (Ryley) Churchill; and great-granddaughter Sienna Dressler. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Ron Lalonde and sisters-in-law, Karen Dieterle and Lucille Wanner; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Edith Wanner; brother Bob Wanner, sister Marlene Lalonde, and brother Lorne Wanner.

At Carol’s wishes, no service will be held. Carol will be laid to rest at the Souris Valley Memorial Gardens (Estevan Memorial Gardens) at a later date.
