Condolances to
Bob and family. It is so sad to hear she is at rest. Jean and I where good friends who worked and played in our Gulf Oil days. she was a very kind and fun friend, will miss calling her. She made the best baking powder biscuts ever, and would whip them up in five.
RIP my friend will miss you so much.
Jean you were an amazing friend and a great neighbor. I will miss your jokes, our lunches and long chats! Our sympathy goes to Bob and all the family. You will be missed Jean, Rest In Peace. Love from Linda, Bill, Michael and Matthew Berzins
Most people are unfortunate and only have one mother. I on the other hand was so fortunate to have two, one who birthed and loved me and one that just loved me. It always made me feel special being her favourite (only) son in law? Never had to worry about dinner at mom’s as I knew for sure at least one of my favourites would be on the menu. We all loved the nice, sweet woman who was Jean, but I loved the Jean who told me the way is was more than once over the last 40+ years. Believe that is called “tough love” but when you needed it she was quick to give it, always followed quickly with pie since mom always knew that it cured all the potential sadness the tough love might have created. Going to miss everything about you mom. Rest well as you deserve it more than most.
We will always have fond memories of Jean and her daily walks through our neighbourhood. She was a lovely lady and wonderful neighbour. We enjoyed many friendly chats over the years. She was so thoughtful to sew our son a cloth book when we brought him home from the hospital as a new babe. Jean was one of a kind and will be sadly missed.
Deepest sympathies to Bob & the family
Sincerely,
Richard and Jeannie Everett
Jean was a kind and gentle soul, and a good friend to all. She was always quick to help, and generous with her baking goods. She was always volunteering to bring dessert to dinners with friends, and packaging up baked goods to send to her grandchildren in Calgary, and even to Switzerland.
We will miss her dearly.
