Condolences
I just heard when calling Economy of your Father and Grandfather’s passing. Udo was a wonderful, kind gentleman and brilliant in his work and service he gave at Economy all those 40 years. May your memories give you comfort and keep his memory alive.

Like many others we met Udo when our daughter Lyndsay started playing ringette. Udo had the best outlook on life. Always laughing and having fun. Loved showing the girls the ropes while supporting them in this new adventure. Including putting up with their antics in the dressing rooms. He instilled such a love in the sport that my daughter continues to play as an adult! Thanks Udo. Knowing you made our lives better ❤️
We were saddened to hear of the passing of Udo. We first met Udo when our daughter started playing ringette. He always had a positive and easy going demeanor and always had a story to tell. His dedication to the ringette association and the players was next to none. Our condolences to his family. May your memories help you through this difficult time.

Udo loved to tell jokes and could brighten up a situation. Udo was certainly a good family man, and inspired his daughters Lysha and Adelle in sports and other activities. My condolences to all family members. Udo will be missed, but he will fondly be remembered in our hearts
Udo fit well into our family whether we were having a competitive fun card game, camping, telling jokes, fishing. He always had the coffee pot on and liked creating his special German dishes. Udo was an active engaged father and his daughters Lysha & Adelle will miss him greatly!
Our family was ever so fortunate to have met Udo many years ago when for a number of years Udo coached our daughters ringette team. Udo was able to create an atmosphere where laughter and smiles went hand in hand with hard work and discipline. Udo had the natural ability to motivate as well unlock each players potential all the while nurturing a positive attitude, he taught life lessons and provided lasting memories. With each new season it was considered a win to be on Udo's team he made each season an enjoyable experience, it was apparent Udo truly enjoyed coaching and giving back.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Udo's passing, we shall fondly remember Udo for the caring, kind, generous and genuinely selfless individual that he was. It is hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember!
Our sincere condolences go out to the family, may your cherished memories provide some comfort at this very difficult time.
The song may have ended but the melody lives on.

Udo (love his name) didn't come into our lives until Graham and Adelle met and had their family. We occasionally would bump into him at some of their family functions. Or when he would do one of his surprise visits to Graham and Adelle's house and we happened to be there. He was a kind and light-hearted soul. Easy going, nothing seemed to bother him. And he always thought so much of the grandkids. Like who rents a pony for their birthday and brings into the backyard. A real live one too.
Then we'd see him on occasion at the hockey rink. Cheering on his favourite player #9. Check it out on the back of his head. (Logan's head that is)
And poor little Maisey - just getting used to him - was scared I think mostly of his dark hair. Kinda like Lsyha's and Adelle's.
If he wasn't so dark I could imagine him as a great Santa Claus.
So Udo - you're at peace now. Bless your heart and your soul you kind man. And whenever I see a pony at someone's birthday - I will always think of you.

Udo was a big part of our family as a brother-in-law for over 30 years. His sense of humor and willingness to pitch in, whether it was to dig the hole for the outhouse ( for the second time) or be part of the log splitting team ( including a wasp sting in the process) will always hold a special memory in our hearts. He was a hell of a guy and will be sorely missed and fondly remembered! Our thoughts are with his daughters Lysha and Adelle!
