Condolences
I am SO SORRY I just mised Garry's Funeral. Arrived back in Canada May 13th and just heard from my Friedn Kris Gorbous, of his passing.at 65 years old. I used to golf with Garry many times. He was ALWAYS fun and had such a wonderful sense of humour. A good MAN! Dogsat for him on some occassions when he was in Valleyridge. My hearfelt condolences to his wife and children and relatiives. May he be in our LORD's care now!
I was so very sorry to hear the sad news of Garry's passing. Although we had not kept in touch over the last several years, Garry was often in my thoughts. I always enjoyed a visit with Garry and was very proud to have had him as my cousin growing up and attending high school together.
My heartfelt condolences to Jamie and all of the Johnston families.

I'm still saddened by the passing of Garry weeks later. Having lived with and shared a good friendship for over 40 years there has been a lot of water under the bridge so to speak. I'll certainly miss reminiscing those times with Garry at least the ones we could remember. It's always hard to lose a great friend and person. Our condolences to Jamie, friends and family .
I had the pleasure to work with Garry and enjoyed his professionalism & sense of humor. I will remember him as a happy and caring human. God bless him and my condolences to his loved one and friends. Moe Alavi
It saddens my heart to hear of the passing of my friend, Garry Johnston, simply put…it’s to early! Although we met through work some thirty years ago, it was the after work activities such as golf and rafting on the Bow River that I will always remember. Score cards never mattered, time didn’t count, only moments filled with fun and laughter remained. These are things that I will never forget and will always cherish. Thank you Garry for sharing a piece of your life with me, may you Rest in Peace.
Very sad to hear of Garry's passing. Although we seldom crossed paths in high school (County Central) in Vulcan we made up for it later in the Instrumentation industry in Calgary. In the 1980s Garry and I worked for Rosemount Instruments. He was in sales and I was in engineering where our friendship grew. Later as our careers moved forward with the roles reversed. I was an account manager in sales and he was on the engineering side as instrument department head at SNC. We both had several successful projects but the one project that always will standout is Husky Tucker Lake. My company Spartan Controls and SNC partnered in what would be later awarded the Canadian Construction Project of the Year. We often joked about two guys from Vulcan making good.
Both Garry and I liked kicking up our heels but at different ends of the spectrum. He liked his wine and my vice was tequila. I know that when ever Garry was in the room there was fun to be had. His SNC instrument team was always there to join in (you guys know who you are!). The fun we had on our golf trips was legendary with our blowout party at the Ocean Club Scottsdale maybe topping the list.
My deepest condolences to Jamie and Johnston family for a life taken too soon.

Very sad to hear of Garry's passing. I've known him for the past 30 years. He was a very up beat person who enjoyed life. I will miss talking to him and discussing current events and the good old days. My condolences to Jamie and the Johnson family. Garry, rest in peace.
It was so shocking to hear the news of Garry's passing. It would have been great to have had more time to connect with Garry. Life is short and moments are precious. I have such fond memories of years gone by when we as kids went to the Johnston farm to play with our cousins Ron, Doug, Val and Garry, a really sweet guy!! With this, I send my sincerest condolences to the Johnstons.
