Condolences
Harold and families: I am presuming your father was at St.. John's United, Middleton, NS in the 60;s. You would have been in Gr. 4-5. If so, my condolence to you from His previous parishoners. Norma (Stronach) Mailman
Saddened to learn of the passing of Rev. Prescott (Scotty) Burrill. When I was a teenager in Kimberley he introduced me to duck hunting, but he did so much more than that. He taught me that ministers were quite human, and that he too could miss a shot. That memory brings a smile every time. I have the greatest respect and admiration for Rev. Burrill and his family. Thank you for those lovely memories. He will be missed.
Dear family of our friend, Rev Scotty Burrill. There is a long history of Scotty with the Beynon/Huston families. We first met him through our grandparents (Fred & Gertrude Beynon) at the Rosedale United Church way back in the 60's? He became a good friend to them. They, in turn, introduced Scotty to my parents, Murray & Jean Huston at Sibbald, AB. Scotty hunted out there for many, many years. Although I had left home by then, my parents, sister, brother all looked forward to Scotty's annual visits. He usually left his trailer in the yard so he could slip out of the city whenever he got the chance. And, he was part of our sad and happy occasions. He married my sister (Georgine & Jim Westgard), He buried my grandparents Beynon, my Grandmother Huston, my Aunt Wanda Huston, Bill Westgard. He was passionate and compassionate. A true disciple, he befriended everyone around him (at least from my perspective). We loved and admired him. Funny, I've been thinking a lot about him this past few weeks and even tried to track him down. Blessings to all of you. You need to know that he indeed, MADE A DIFFERENCE in our world.
We are so sorry to learn of the passing of Rev. Scotty Burrill, our condolences and prayers are with all of the Burrill family members.

Dearest John, Harold and all of Prescott's family. It is with a very heavy and saddened heart to hear of Prescott's passing. My deepest, dearest and sincere condolences goes out to all of you. Prescott was always so sweet, caring, attentive and compassionate any time I spoke or saw him. Now you can rejoice knowing he is in God's loving arms. Also, I know he was truly lost when Shirley passed away but now too reunited with his loving wife, walking hand in hand and truly blessed to be together again with your mom. He will be missed by everyone he touched along the way. May your hearts swell with love, joy and gratitude for sooooo many years with him. May he be resting peacefully, in no pain, healthy, soaring with the angels remembering all his wonderful memories and lives he touched from days gone past and right up till his passing. I was truly blessed to have known both Prescott and Shirley, John and Harold and their families. He will not be forgotten and truly missed. Sincerely Barb Bexson
Heartfelt condolences. Scotty was made an “Honorary Buchanan” years ago by my father. Scotty was always a part of our family’s festivities. Weddings, Christenings, Funerals, Birthdays, Anniversary’s, etc.
Scotty was a very patient, kind, thoughtful man.
My dad and him are up there in heaven having meaningful discussions.
Brenda Buchanan ❤️
