Ray Lee beloved husband of Suzanne Lee (nee Hamel) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the age of 45 years.

Ray was born in Calgary, Alberta on November 17, 1976, to parents Robin and Ivy Lee. He graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. After many years of working in the Service Industry, Ray transitioned to Property Assessment for the City of Calgary.

Ray married Suzanne Hamel in August of 2009.

In his spare time, he volunteered with St. Vincent De Paul Society as well as coaching Timbits Soccer. Ray accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of becoming a father to three beautiful children. He enjoyed many hobbies such as Football, Fishing, camping, mountain biking, music/concerts, Quality family time and traveling the world.

Ray’s most memorable vacation was when he and his twin sister hiked to Machu Picchu, Peru.

He will be most remembered for his witty sense of humor, fun-loving nature, and being a devoted father, husband, son, and brother.

Besides his loving wife Suzanne, Ray is survived by his son Bradon Lee; two daughters, Myla, and Emery Lee; parents, Robin and Ivy Lee of Calgary, AB, his two sisters, Venus Toy (Gary) and Victoria Lee of Calgary, AB; parents-in-law, Denis and Margaret Hamel of Kneehill County, AB; brother-in-law Marc Hamel (Tracee) of Kitscoty, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ray is also survived by his dogs Molly and Kona.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 Banister Rd SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Center of the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
