Condolences
Just heard this news. My condolences to the Khouri family. Bilo always treated me great. I remember I spent many days at the Khouri home and loved the family. JP and I always had fun playing hockey in the basement, and I remember Bilo taught me about the legendary Guy Lafleur. Haha! I remember his kind smile and send my prayers to the family.
It is with sadness that I just learned of Bilo's passing. While our paths have not crossed for some years, I remember well his infectious personality and his always present joie de vie. The saying "good men die young" is so applicable.
My condolences to the family and "God's speed Bilo, God's speed!"

Sending my deepest condolences to Diane, Janelle, Jon-Paul, Marc and family on the loss of your wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Bilo was such a kind and funny man who had the biggest heart. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a contagious smile, qualities I think he passed on to each of his children. May you find comfort in your memories.
Dear Diane and family:
I was so saddened to hear of Bilo's passing. He was such a lovely man. I spent the evening watching the celebration of life and could see you had a wonderful life together. What a great family and friends and memories. He always made you feel special and was interested in your family. We were so lucky to live in Bonavista and meet you at school and activities throughout the years. Hugs and condolences, Connie, Steve Rosenstein and family

Dear Janelle, Diane and family, I was very saddened to hear of Bilo's passing. He was a tremendous influence on me growing up and I always felt very honoured to be a part of his Celtics team over the years. One of my fondest memories is of Bilo leading us off in song before our big games... makes me smile every time. I will always remember his contagious laugh and wonderful smile. Thank you for sharing him with us, my thoughts are with you, Lynne (Fraser) Chalmers
My deepest condolences to your family. When we first moved to Calgary, it seemed like few played soccer and it was a fringe sport. Finding a family with the a shared passion for the sport like the Khouris was awesome. Many fond memories of being coached by Bilo, playing with Marc and JP or being driven to practices/games by Diane. It was all a blessing.
To Diane , Janelle and family. We are saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. He was an amazing coach and an even greater person. He made such an impression on our daughter Kelly and she too sends her condolences. He impacted so many lives on and off the field. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Hugh and Marlene Haxton and family.
Dear Diane, Janelle and Jon Paul,
My sincere condolences on the passing of your dear husband and father Nabil Khoury,
Nabil was a great soccer coach, one of Remi's (my deceased son's) favorite coaches. He was such a pleasant and cheerful person and I have fond memories of the team's trip to Quebec city when Jon Paul and Remi competed for the Nationals.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
May he rest in Peace.

My heart is saddened to hear of Bilo’s passing. What a joy it was to be welcomed into his coaching circle and family for all those amazingly successful seasons. Not only did I get the opportunity to learn from him, but also become a dear friend. I will cherish my memories of his dynamic personality, smile, and heart of gold and all those hours talking and strategizing about soccer. Sending big hugs to Dianne and Janelle.

To Mrs. Khouri, Janelle, Marc, JP, & family,
My sincere condolences. I was very sad to hear of the loss of your father. I have forgotten the parents of so many of my teammates, but not your father. I can still remember him clear as day, as he was amazingly kind, supportive, and dedicated to not only you; but to your teammates. He will be missed but always remembered.
Dear Diane and Family,
I was saddened to read of Bilo's passing. We had so many interesting, entertaining evenings with you and Bilo during the time you and I were teaching colleagues during the 70's. Marc's arrival was a blessed event for you and Bilo and a joyous occasion celebrated by all . My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Sincerely, Vernice Nowlin

I have often fondly remembered our friendship with Diane and Bilo during the early 70s. Bob and I moved to Calgary where I taught with Diane. In particular I recall an evening of tennis followed by a delightful feast prepared by Diane. I have often wondered about you, Diane, over the past many years as we moved on in our professions and lives. My thoughts are with you at this time. wallacebj@me.com
So many good memories ,so many good laughs with Bilo and family and now we will miss all of that.He was such a gourmet, he new how to enjoy life. He was always available to help someone to lend a crying shoulder or moral support with a warm smile. You will be missed, we will miss you but you will always be in our hearts.
Bilo was an amazing mentor to me for many years. He taught me so much about geology and also a lot about life. We spent the better part of 10 years working together every day. I have lots of amazing memories of Bilo. We had lunch together many times and he was incapable of ordering off the menu. He could convince anyone to make anything for him. One time he asked for fries and the waitress said we don’t have them. He asked if they had a deep frier and potatoes she said yes of course. He replied then you have fries. She came out 15 minutes later with hand cut delicious fries. They truly broke the mold when Bilo was born. He will be missed by many.
