Condolences
Dr Nakai was a legendary podiatrist in the dance community in Calgary with countless young dancers visiting her as they transitioned to pointe. She always took her time to get to know the child and parents. Her patients sincerely appreciated her. Our condolences to her family and friends.
We would like to send our sincere condolences to Dr. Nakai’s family. She will be greatly missed.

I just had to mention the following.
I was so sorry to have not been able to attend the in-person service but I managed to catch all of the LIVE-STREAM & it was almost like I was there. Almost. I still cried buckets & buckets! Thank you so much for sharing this with those of us who couldn't make it. That was a most wonderful thing to do & the most beautiful service I've ever witnessed. Thank you to McInnis & Holloway, so well done! Thank YOU Nakai family for sharing in this extra way! My heart goes out to you & all those who Dr. Eureka Nakai touched. I/We loved her to pieces.
My thoughts & prayers are with the Nakai family & wish God to be near & dear & with them at this time & in the coming days.
My sincere condolences to Eureka's family. She was such a wonderful person, in every aspect. She saw the world in such a beautiful and positive way that few could match. She is fondly remembered and loved.
Condolences to family, friends and others feeling this extraordinary loss. Though not part of our lives for several years we are deeply saddened by Eureka's passing. Eureka entered our lives as an inquiring, intelligent young lady trying to decide on a career and then sometime after she became a collegial part of our lives beginning and developing her career as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Starting her family, establishing her professional practice, participating in her great interest in dance and maintaining her religious faith are the sources of our wonderful memories and reflections about Eureka.
So tragic that all these endeavours and so many more that were important to her will no longer receive the attention, dedication and affection that were immutable elements of her exceptional, substantial and singular character.

Eureka you have inspired many people in your life. You are warm and compassionate. So many fond memories of you Eureka during our school days in University. So many memories of our friends gathering at your house and playing Games and having fun. Making pizzas With questionable toppings like corn and undercooked bacon. Yuk! These are the memories I remember with your smiling face that no one can deny will make everyone's day better. You are an inspiration to us all, and an example how everyone should live their life to the fullest. Rest well Eureka. You will always be with us in our minds and hearts!

To the Nakai Family,
My sincere condolences on the passing of Dr. Eureka Nakai. Ironically, her and I have never met in person, but over the years, she skillfully and compassionately looked after many of my patients. It feels like we've worked closely together over the past more than two decades. Know that she was amongst the best. We shall all miss her.
Dr. Norman Yee
Dear Brian and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of the recent loss of Eureka. Whenever I saw Eureka at a meeting or a conference, she always had a smile on her face and was so very kind to me. She was a true lady in every sense of the word. It is never easy to lose someone you love, especially a spouse or a mother. Rest assured, Eureka is in the loving and healing arms of the Lord in Paradise.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
With my deepest sympathies,
Dr. Cathy S. Bulanda
Brian and the kids, Kay and family and Mrs. Terashima,
I wish to express my sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved Eureka. I had the pleasure of knowing three ‘different' Eurekas in my lifetime - the dance parent, the dance student, and the podiatrist. Eureka, the dance parent, was every studio's dream. I worked for a number of years at MWDA and during my tenure there, I knew if I needed a volunteer for anything, Eureka was always the first to say yes! Eureka was truly happy spending time in the dark recesses of a backstage area and helping with everything from supervision of the youngest dancers to helping with quick changes for the seniors… and I was always happy to have her serenity and experience in the offstage area with me!
A number of years ago, I had the opportunity to participate in an adult ballet class with Eureka. Prior to the class, we would warm up and chat about what all our children were up to and how things in our lives were going. But once the music started and we found our spots at the barre, her focus was all on the music and the movement. Even in a class of older women and a range of talent from none to former professional, Eureka remained focused on learning and continuing to perfect her craft. What a beautiful dancer she was…
Then I had the experience of having Eureka treat myself and our daughter, who was a dancer at the time. Eureka always took the time to explain exactly what the problem was, and what the solution was for one’s particular circumstance in life - no cookie cutter solutions from her! It was always energizing to visit Eureka at the office to have her walk into the exam room with a cheery “hello”.
I cannot imagine the anguish you are all feeling upon the loss of your beloved Eureka. Please know that many other people feel her loss as well. She was a sparkling light and I was fortunate to have been touched by her kind spirit. I wish the best for you all.
With respect,
Tracy Schaeffler
So sad to read about this news. We went to Seisen high school together and I only have great memories of our time together.
May God comfort all you.
There are a lot of positive memories I have shared with Eureka over the years. I have some recordings I have put in a video from her being in my classes. She was always a shining light an everyone appreciated her being there and always working hard and pushing herself. If it’s ok I will share with you this video.
From,
DJ

I am sending my sincere condolences to Eureka’s family and also to her sister, Kay and her family on their loss at this sad time.
Eureka and I always had great chats at the clinic where she helped me, and also at the elementary school where her children attended. She was truly a most kind and patient person.
I am so sorry to hear the news of Eureka passing away. I worked closely with her years ago at the North West Foot Clinic and shared many laughs and jokes together. She was always kind even in tough situations. My love goes out to Brian and the kids!
To the family of Eureka Nakai: The husband and the children, and the mother and all those closely related to her
We wish to extend to each of you are most sincere and heartfelt condolences as you say goodbye for now to your dear dearly beloved mom daughter and wife and friend.
Judy and I Peter, Have been long time client of Dr. Nakai. Every visit was our pleasure, as we were recipients of her most kind and gentle ways as she looked after our podiatry needs. We figured she’s certainly belong to Jesus as she demonstrated the gifts of such kindness and loving and gentleness and patient person all of us.
May the pleasant memories of her life continue to give you joy and peace knowing that now that she is absent from the body she has present with the lord. And we will see her on that Resurrection day.
May God bless each of you and give you peace, our love to you and prayers ongoing
Peter and Judy Kehler
