Condolences
My sincere condolenences to all the family.
We miss you Wollene- your genuine, engaging, funny, forthright but kind way. You were a good friend to me, a wonderful wife to Frank, a loving mother to Neil and the best of grandmothers to Max.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of great sorrow.

Dearest Uncle Frank
You had a great, well over 60 years of marriage to Woll, Wolly, Betty...my precious Aunt Wollene. You, Betty and Neil always make people laugh! Thank you for that.
I was very close to my Aunt. She was loving, kind and generous with me. Auntie Wollene taught me to self advocate and to not take crap from others. She liked to be goofy, silly, dance around with Uncle Frank. Then Neil joined in and LOOK OUT!!! What a great family team...and all of us in stitches.
I understand your grief Uncle Frank...it's deep seeded and raw, you feel empty and lost, your heart is shredded, the constant pain is more than unbearable and with a sorrowful cry. Life is cruel. Deep love equals deep grief. It's ok that you're not ok. Take time to sit with it, otherwise heartache in the future.
You will be with your wife in heaven sooner than we think. I can hardly wait to get there. I pray that the Lord wrap His loving arms around you, Neil, Max and family.
Love in Christ

Your Wolly will always be with you
Dear Uncle Frank , Neil and Max,
I have many fond memories of my auntie. She was a positive influence in my life as a young man. She always encouraged me to do my best in all that I did and she took an interest in what I was up to. She truly was nice to me. She was certainly a glass half full and not a glass half empty soul. She was kind and loving to all and especially to her family. She would stick up for what was right and was known to scold her older brother when he certainly needed it , and believe me that always impressed me ! She was a strong woman but not "hard". She had a fantastic sence of humor and could laugh at herself . It was always so great visiting because between you , auntie, and Neil I laughed a lot and when I was not laughing I was smiling....what a trio !
I wish I had spent more time with her as an adult but my busy far away life got in the way it seems.
I will miss her Frank.
You were very lucky to have her for 67 years ! What a journey ! She was supportive, loving, true and faithful to you to the end.
My prayers are with you all.
Eric Kelm
Of behalf of all of us, thank you for the kind and supportive condolences you have sent. In addition to those on this site there have been many similar expressions of support and sympathy by telephone, cards, letters, emails and Facebook. Each one, in its own personal way reminded us of many earlier happy times when all was well. We appreciate that you shared your remarks with us, they helped carry us through this. We will now try to get our lives back together, but Wollene will always be in our hearts and still an important part of our lives going forward.
Frank, Neil, Lynnie, Max and Dalia

Frank, may you be surrounded by friends and family at this sad time. Your "togetherness" relationship was always evident in your care and love for Wollene which you were never afraid to display. Tears and hugs. Claire Buenting, TELUS Healthcare.

To Neil & your Family, our hearts are with you during this difficult time, your Mom was a special lady who always spoke her mind. One of many warm-hearted memories of her describing you & Max, “Like two peas in a pod” or her reminding me that I was older than you. Her humor will be so sadly missed. Take care. Steven & Diane Hayes and Family.
Frank and Family.....Bev and I are so sorry to hear of Wooly's passing. We always found her so pleasant and personable at social functions we attended. Our deepest and most sincere condolences......Jack and Beverley Mullins

Dear Frank, I am very very sad to hear of the passing of Wollene. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
Our deepest condolences to you Frank and family. May Wollene be with our Lord at this time. Grace and blessings be with you.
Frank, we are very sorry for your loss. We did not know Wollene very well, but from what we have read, we are sure all the memories you made together will be a treasure for you and your family for ever.
We are terribly sorry for Wollene’s passing, but very grateful that she is no longer suffering with an incurable condition. Our deepest sympathy to Frank, Neil (Lynnie), and Max (Dalia) for the loss of their wonderful spouse, mother and grandmother. We have been best of friends with Frank and Woll for over 60 years and have countless fond memories of time spent together at many different venues. Everything from sipping a pre-dinner martini at one of our homes, to attending a CPS or CPVA social function, or a vacation at Echo Lake, or a Carribbean cruise and Florida road trip to the Keys, or a holiday in Mexico or Hawaii. We always had a fabulous time, largely due to Woll being so compatible and eager to explore. Most recently, we spent many winter months in California escaping Calgary weather, playing golf and sharing the ‘occasional happy hour.’ Rest in peace Woll. You will always be lovingly remembered and missed by our family. Doug and Gayle Green
Dear Frank and family
We were so saddened to hear about Wollene’s passing. We have many memories of our walks around the close and seeing you two enjoying wine on your front porch at 4 PM (or at least it was 4 PM in a time zone) from what we understood. There were many days we would see Wollene’s head peek out from over the flowers you had lovingly planted for her to enjoy on your porch. We enjoyed “chirping” with you two. We recall the stories as you conveyed them and then Wollene would share her versions of what really happened. Wollene had a delightful sense of humour! Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love, Kam Jugdev and Doug Rancier

We are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Woolene was such a fighter and is an inspiration to us all. She had a hilarious sense of humour especially having to endure the many funny antics from her devoted, loving husband and son. Those are our best memories and we will miss her.
Love Rick, Kathy Gamblen & family
