I first met Brad when I stayed at my aunt’s in Thornhill. Brad was an integral part of my cousin Curtis’ family. He quickly became an honorary “Bieber”. I saw Brad again in 2016 at the infamous Bieber Christmas and the following summer at the cabin in Melville Beach!

I was shocked and saddened when my cousin Candi told me the devastating news of Brad. It sucks. Way too early.

It wasn’t until recently I realized how comforting and helpful “share your memories and condolences” can be.

Ashley, Cody, Pete I hope you can find comfort in the messages friends and family will leave about your dad, your stepdad, your brother…

I have had the honour of knowing Brad since we were teenagers when he just showed up with my brother Curtis. Over the years Brad became a good friend and part of the family with his wicked sense of humour and quick comebacks. I have so many fond memories with Brad from holidays dinners, camping trips and social gatherings.

One of my favourite memories will always be brought up as every time I hear “he shoots he scores” I will remember Brad as one of our family camping trips we ended up getting kicked out of the camp grounds “cause the adults were to loud after dark”. One of the my other fond memories was on a trip to the United States when we learnt that Mom and Brad should NEVER be left on their own while driving as they got us re-routed looking for a “gas station”, we ended up in a new State. These are just a few memories my kids and I have of our time with Brad.

My sincere condolences to Brad’s family at this time. I also want to thank Brad’s family for sharing your brother with my brother and family. He will be dearly missed.

I never would have felt ready to say good-bye to someone as special as Brad, but this timing feels tough, especially just after spending time with him. Working closely with Brad over the past 10 years was wonderful, we had some great times; in the field, at Christmas parties and particularly during our yearly Field Operations meetings. Brad got along with everyone and his sarcasm will absolutely be missed by many. There was never a dull moment being around Brad, he always had something to say or a story to tell. I truly enjoyed spending time with him and listening to story time with Brad. Wishing your family comfort and strength for the days, weeks and months ahead. We’re praying for all of you during this time. God bless you and comfort you.
