Obituary of Catherine Florentine Bischoff
1940 - 2022
Catherine (Cathy) Bischoff of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from complications arising from cancer, at the age of 81 years. Cathy will forever be remembered as a kind and fun-loving person who treasured spending time with her family, cheering on her favorite sports teams, listening to music, baking and creating beautifully embroidered pieces. Above all, Cathy (Nama), loved her grandchildren and relished being part of their lives as they grew into beautiful, successful young women. Cathy’s passing leaves a vast hole in our hearts, but our memories and her influence will last forever.
Cathy was the cherished mother of her son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Sadie and proud grandmother of Jacqueline and Olivia. She is survived by her siblings, Teckla, Rose, Ben (Paulette), and Bruno (Marianne); nieces, nephews, and friends. Cathy was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of forty-three years, Leonard (2003); father, Joseph; mother, Angela; and her brother, John.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (404 Northmount Pl NW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
