Condolences
We were devastated to hear of Joe’s passing. Joe and Sandra became our good friends, and spending time with Joe made every moment memorable, from eating his steaks that were as big as our plates to having a few drinks over a passionate game of cards. There was never a dull moment! But to us, Joe’s most outstanding characteristic was his generosity – not just with the pocketbook but with his heart. We will miss him. We don’t want to think of Joe as gone; he lives on in his children, grandchildren, and generations to come. We couldn’t have asked for a finer friendship than with Joe and Sandra. Our condolences to Sandra and family.
Sandra, Christina & Mike, we are deeply saddened with the news of Joe’s passing and the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. Hopefully knowing that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time is of some comfort to you. Cherish all the memories and special moments you have shared together.
Sincerely, Pat & Ray Marchand (neighbours)
My condolences and sympathies to the Russo family. Joe was a friendly and familiar presence – or more appropriately – respected cornerstone of the propane industry. Over the years at the annual events attended Joe’s distinct voice greeting followed by a handshake, chat and occasional drink were always good memories. Rest in Peace and God Bless. Taras (Terry) Krewen.
I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Joe. I can remember the first time I met Joe more than 40 years ago. I have fond memories that I will treasure ✨ forever. He truly was one of a kind. Rest in peace Joe.
My condolences to the Russo family. Joe was one of a kind. I have so many memories of working with him over the years. His quick wit, integrity and willingness to always help stick out for me. Joe had a great sense of humour as well and his presence in the office was always obvious. I will miss the “bets” and his competitive spirt. Thank you Joe for being such a great guy and unforgettable colleague. Rest In Peace my friend.
My deepest sympathies to the Russo family. Joe brought out the best in everyone through leadership and integrity. Always respected and giving back to anyone who worked with him. Thank-you Joe. RIP.

To all in the Russo family I extend my heartfelt condolences. I met Joe during my time with Cardinal Coach Lines working with Stan Weber. It was at the School Bus Conventions over several years that he left a good name among the entire association. With him, who you saw and met was who he was which made it an honour to know. He certainly left a fine legacy with all he met. He will certainly be missed.
My condolences to the Rossi family.
I had the honour and pleasure to know Joe through the School Bus Conventions for many years. He was an interval part of our conventions and will be missed.
The deepest condolences reach the Russo family for the loss of dear Joe, an unforgettable and friendly person.
Immense esteem for the whole family.

We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our dear friend Joe. It's still difficult to process. Joe was truly larger than life and one of a kind. He was smart, funny, caring, and a joy to be around. He made you feel like you were family. We will miss and always remember Joe. He always looked for ways to make a difference and will definitely leave a positive, lasting impression.
I first met Joe in 1986 when he was the Calgary Branch Manager for Mohawk Propane. It didn't take me long to realize that Joe was passionate about his work. He was a great leader and always a trusted, loyal, and dependable colleague. I quickly learned that Joe was simply a cut above others in forging deep and authentic relationships. Above all, Joe was intensely driven to provide his customers with the best possible product and service. In fact, he became a true, life-long friend to many of his customers.
However, Joe's greatest accomplishment will always be his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and family man. To Sandra and the entire Russo family, we extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Wishing your family peace, comfort, courage, and love.

I will never forget Joe. The time he let me drive his Trans Am when I was 17 was a very big deal to me.
His sponsorship the Sofball team I was on in the 1990s was happily remembered and gratefully appreciated. I doubt that anyone knew that he donated $4500 to the Calgary Bobsled Club to help buy equipment for future Olympic Athletes.
He was a larger than life person.
My sincere condolences to his family.
Joe was such a wonderful person. I always enjoyed his stories and passion for our industry and his family. Joe was always smiling! He will be very much missed. A huge loss for sure. my thoughts are with the Russo family.
Our heartfelt condolences to Sandra and the entire Russo family.
My family has many fond memories of Joe which are too many to list! Joe was my older and very dear 1st cousin. My memories are many because we grew up together (Joe was 6 years older than me)! One I’d like to share was in his 1st year of University he had a paper to write and I offered to help him type it out. While typing he’d hover over me and kept saying "aren’t you done yet Linda” no pressure there ….lol. I’d say “Joe take it easy I just started give me a chance”! He was constantly teasing me and as someone previously mentioned in the memories, he was just a big teddy bear but in the meantime I was always afraid of him anyways and especially if he and my older sister Angie were on my case! It was all in good fun and we loved every minute of Joe’s infectious smile, facial expression, kind personality and tease that he was! Joe was special and original. We will miss you Joe and love you very much! RIP! Aunt Maria, Uncle Vic, Linda, Silvana, Carmine, Anthony and Sophia Giocoli
So sorry for your loss. I met Joe early in my years at Cardinal Coach Lines and Stan Weber made sure his staff were aware that this guy was our go to and could be trusted to support us where ever we were and he did. He became my card buddy at convention and when I transferred to Edmonton he was here to help me out with issues. Although it has been quite a few years since we had talked thinking of him will always bring a smile to my face. Cherish the memories as I’m sure we all will and smile when you thinking of him as he always had a smile for you.

Joe's spirit and personality were vibrant. He loved a good conversation and made us laugh with his dry sense of humor. Joe's family came up often in conversation. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know Joe at our School Bus Conventions. I remember one year he was absent so I printed pictures of a headshot of Joe and put in sticks for people to carry around so that we didn't miss him so much. He was an important presence in industry and everyone loved him. My sincerest sympathies to the family and friends. May your memories and God's grace carry you through this loss.

So sad to hear the news of Joe's passing. He was such a big personality. I will forever remember Joe for his big heart and kindness... deep down inside there was a big teddy bear. I SHARED 9 great years working with Joe. You will be missed Joe. My deepest condolences to the Russo Family. The World would be a better place with more great men like Joe...God Bless you Brother.
Joe and I shared so many memories at all of the school bus conventions. He was an absolute gem and I’m so glad he was able to be at his final convention in April. Joe embodied the spirit of cooperation, camaraderie, and friendship to all of us. He loved his family so much and talked about the grandkids continually. I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with you.
Sincerest condolences to the family.
I can remember the first time I met Joe more than 30 years ago just starting out in the industry that he had so much passion for. This passion carried over into anything that he was a part of. He would regularly challenge those around him but would also be the first one in line to pick you up and lend a hand at any time. So many stories and great laughs to remember and even a few to shake your head at, but a person and character we will never forget.
Joe will certainly be missed by many.

I had the greatest pleasure of working directly with Joe at Superior Propane for a number of years prior to his retirement. He was kind, caring & passionate not only for the business, but for his colleagues and customers. I have fond memories of Joe and will miss his loud personality. He was truly one of a kind.
My deepest condolences to his family.

Joe was a great co- worker, a great "GO TO" person when it came to anything to do with propane. A friend for over 4 decades, I'll miss him. My deepest condolences to the Russo family. Bob Rahiman, Husky.
Our sincere condolences to the family.
I worked with Joe at Superior Propane for a number of years. Joe always had the ability to see the positive in every situation. So many great memories. Even though we didn't golf much it was a blast, he would have you in stitches laughing. Oh yes, there would be a $5.00 bet on something whether it was who could stay out of the woods or closes to the pin.
He will be missed
