Condolences
Rose, please accept our condolences on Joe's passing. We all recall the many times our parents spoke about the enjoyable visits and trips they spent with you and Joe.

Joe was always my favourite uncle. I remember that I used to look forward to his visits when I was a child. He was so full of excitement and was fun to be around. Later, Joe was always interested in what I was up to in school and, later on, in life. He was always welcoming. I'm sure my Mom kept Joe up to date on me as the years passed. I didn't really keep in touch over the years until Joe and Rose were in Calgary. Linda and I would bring our three sons to Calgary to take in Heritage Park and the Zoo and we would visit. We liked to visit through the years on our way to Calgary and then off to Banff to camp. Joe always greeted us with a smile, a big Hello!, and a big handshake or a hug or both! Our sons grew up but Linda and I still made the trip when we could. Even after Linda and I moved to Victoria we would stop either on the drive back to Saskatchewan or on the return trip, sometimes to stay overnight, sometimes just for a meal before moving on. Joe was always proud of his yard and would love to point things out to us as we sat outside. I was fortunate to share in his walks while I was visiting the most recent few times. I will miss my time with Joe. He enriched my life. Love you, Uncle Joe!
Dear Rose & Family,
From time to time we would connect, either by a telephone call to you or an e-mail, or on Facebook. You have a wonderful family and you will miss Joe so very much along with you children and grandchildren. Both William and I express our deepest sympathies on your loss, and the lonely time you will have in front of you. Cherish the memories, and the lifetime you had with Joe. Now comes the time of just saying farewell until we meet again in that heavenly home that God has prepared for all that believe in him. Bless be the Tide that Binds, our heart.
We are so sorry for your loss Joe was a joy to know in our neighborhood always happy to have a chat and go on his merry way. Such a positive person, he will be truly missed in the Villas.
Sincere condolences to you Rose and your family from Marjorie and Ron Potts
