Condolences
Just found this Obituary, Don was one of my best friends in high school, your grandmother worked at the Coffee Pot restaurant and backed the best Custard Cream Pie. You can see my name mentioned in the article about Don's award. He was a great friend. we lost track I remember when he went to work in northern Ontario to earn $7000 for Cataract surgery on his eye, the was before Free health care. If I had known that he moved to Alberta I probable would have found him sooner. The last address that I had was on Beach Blvd. in Hamilton. Sorry I missed finding him.

The other day I was doing some bodywork on my car and realized I would not be so confident in this repair if Dad had not taught me how to do. I learned a lot about mechanics from him (and how to hold a flashlight properly lol)
My memories of Uncle Don were when he was a teenager. Mom and Dad would take the family to visit Grandpa and Grandma in Hamilton where Don would often be home. To us Uncle Don was so tall and strong. He loved to tease and tickle and lift us up over his head until we were in giggles. Uncle Don and his accordion were the entertainment at my Dad's Lodge's children's Christmas party. I loved to hear him play. I also loved the big white dog that he had. My husband and I owned two Samoyeds, I think, because of my fond memories of Uncle Don's dog.
My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of Don.
