Condolences
Grace,
I’ve been thinking quite a lot about Kevin since Ann and I found out a few days ago from Maureen that she had seen the write up in the Calgary Herald. Maureen was taking a road trip to New Brunswick, where we have been living for the last 10 years, from a visit to PEI…
As you know, Kevin and I lived in the same house for a few years back in the late 70s. They were good times, but amongst the various reprobates, I always thought Kevin was a standout individual. You won’t be surprised to hear me say that; you saw the same attributes.
I appreciated Kevin‘s interests and his ability to go a few questions deep into a subject even when neither of us fully knew what we were talking about. I haven’t often encountered that ability to listen as well as discuss and I sure appreciated it. I've thought of those traits of Kevin's a few times over the years although I’ve been, I suppose, too far away to get in contact again.
I’m sure there were some very supportive celebrations of Kevin's life in both Calgary and Cape Breton. The website indicates that pictures can be sent, but the uploading function doesn't seem to work and I’m not sure posting any to the website would be the way to go anyway. I did think of one picture that I had from the house on Northmount Drive that Kevin and I signed the lease on post-Bowness thinking that we'd make it a more normal sort of accommodation. We had marginal success. Anyway, I found it and a couple of other pictures if you are interested.

I was so sorry to hear about Kevin's passing and please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I know you will miss him and it's hard to say goodbye to someone you love. Take care, Emily Morgan and family
Sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. I also met Kevin in High School. I enjoyed being around him and attending various classes with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Grace and Family,
My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family during this time of sorrow. Hold close to your hearts all the fond memories that you had shared with late + Kevin over the many years. May the Perpetual Light Shine Upon His Soul.
Eternal Memories.
Gracie and family very sorry for your great loss. Frances and Vincent Mac Donald (formerly from Boisdale)
We were high school friends. Left home together to attend Canada's oldest university. Roomates and tutorial buds. Kevin left to care for his family. Love him and he made the world a better place for his family and all. God Bless, Tom
So sorry to her of your loss. I worked with Kevin when his Dad passed unexpectedly and Kevin filled in for him on the mail contract. He was such a joyful young man with that ready smile and f laugh - even in the tough times of a lost loved one. May your fond memories sustain you in your time of grief. Sandy Davis once of Calgary too!
Please accept my condolences on Kevin's passing. I first met Kevin in the early 70's through our mutual friend, Charlie Hebb. Along with others we both spent many a night camped out at Charlies house. As someone who had a good sense of humour and also matured early, Kevin was a great guy to talk with. A good man; may he rest in peace
So very sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing and the challenges he faced in recent months. My deepest condolences to his wife, Grace and his children and extended family members. Kevin was an integral part of a very close knit group of high school friends and, even though we had lost touch, he left a very deep impression on all of us who knew him. Never forgotten.

Kevin was a dear high school friend who was so kind and fun. He was part of “our group “ of friends who all became very close. It was so sad to hear of Kevin’s struggles and his passing. My loving thoughts go out to his wife Grace and family.
I am so sad to hear about Kevin. I had the privilege of working closely with (for) Kevin for many years. Kevin was a leader, a mentor and a friend. The world isn’t quite as good a place today without Kevin in it. We will remember you, Rest in Peace Kevin.
I had the pleasure of working closely with Kevin for 6 years while supporting the Real Canadian Superstore business. He was a true gem and a legend in the RCLS biz- kind, smart, funny, caring, everything you'd want in a leader and a boss! We sent him off to enjoy the good life in 2017 and I will forever cherish the pictures we captured that day. Big smiles all around! Sending my condolences to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed. - Tamara xo

It is difficult to see our MacDonald-Steele branch of our family tree endure this loss. Our shared roots, history, family perpetuated a deep feeling of connection. Kevin was a 'slightly' older' (in our childhood days when that mattered!) cousin whom I enjoyed spending time with in Cleveland and Creignish and with whom I was glad to have re-connected in our retirement...with a whole lot of living and achievement to Kevin's credit in-between! May the legacy and love of "Kevin & Grace" continue to nourish and fortify Grace, Glenn (Alison) and Katherine.

Kevin was a kind gentle good natured soul. His caper friends all valued his friendship and had many fun moments together. He faced hardship head on in his lifetime and we all admired his character and his courage. Rest in peace my old friend . Grace and family cherish the moments in time you shared with Kevin may you find peace in your memories
My deepest Sympathy on Kevin's passing.....I went to school with Kevin, his brothers and sister In Point Tupper, with lots of fond memories ..Keeping you all in my prayers,
Alice Dixon-MacIntosh
Kevin and I went to High school together. He stayed in our house many many nights while he worked for the Post Office. He was a great friend to my brother Charlie and myself. We had a wonderful group of friends and we spent a lot of our time together. Kevin was in charge of grade 12 final exam study groups. It was a hard job rounding us all up and keeping us on task. We all passed so Kevin did well!! He was the smartest person I’ve ever met. Such a wonderful mind.
