I will always remember John fondly and have wonderful memories of many times spent with John at work and on the Golf-cours.

After returning to Switzerland later on, I was always pleased to meet him on my visits back to Calgary.

John was a very gentle and talented man with whom I had the pleasure of working with over many years. Also enjoyed many golf games with he and his buddies. My condolences to his family and friends.

for the last 25 years John has been a work mate in quite a number of firms, a golfing buddy on golf courses in Alberta, Quebec, in the US states of Washington and Montana, in Malaysia and Venezuela AND MOST OF ALL A SOUL MATE when ever we were together. No matter where and under what circumstances via phone or face to face I have enjoyed talking and simply being with the Eagle (as he was known to quite a number of his buddies). His dry sense of British humor has been a delight not only for me but for all who knew him. I sure will miss him for now but look forward to a future round of golf with him, “old Peter'” and our old friend Bill Delaney on the “other side”. Alison and Lisa, my thoughts are with you.

I had the pleasure of working with John on a number of energy projects. His mechanical design abilities were always greatly valued. I am sorry for your loss.

You are so right that John had many friends and I’m so glad and privileged to have been one of them. I worked with John at most of the places you mentioned and he was always so practical and generous with his knowledge. This also extended to the golf course and I’m proud to say I had many memorable rounds with him. I will miss him greatly, we’ve lost a good one.
