Condolences
The Canada cafe was one of the best cafes ever in Estevan. Ate there may times and was never disappointed. Owners were very pleasant but very quiet. Deepest sympathy. Gary St.Onge
Godmother Betty and family,
Sorry for your loss. My Dad, Joseph Quan, and Ben were partners (along with others) in the Canada Cafe before moving away to Regina. They shared a mutual respect. This lasting friendship carried in Calgary. Rest in Peace.

Betty and family my sincere sympathy and prayers to all. Ben. Hamm, Joe & King were close friends of our family. I had the honor of taking Ben & Betty's wedding portraits. Have never been able to find Chinese food & burgers as good as the Canada Cafe. God bless all.
My condolences to the family. I have many fond memories of Canada Cafe and the family.

My condolences to all the family. Canada Cafe was a favorite...not only to younger generation but all. My parents went there often. My Mom always ordered coconut cream pie. Your family were so pleasant and always a smile. God bless Mr.Ben.
Dear Betty and Family,
Our deepest condolences on Ben's recent passing.
We enjoyed socializing with you and Ben and a group of friends not only at Grey Eagle Casino but the many shared meals and coffee times together. Once on one of our country drives in the car we'll not forget the deer who decided to 'greet us' while we were at a yield sign.
Our hearts go out to you all at this time. We will miss Ben.
Sincerely,
Ken and Pat Leong
Calgary, Alberta
I worked as a waitress for Ben and Hamm in 1984 or 85. I was 16, it was my first job. Despite being a terrible waitress, Ben and Hamm treated me like I was their daughter. He would have been happy to know that I gave up waitressing completely and became a nurse. I have fond memories of Ben. The food at Canada Cafe was second to none, and I've never found another to compare. I've lived in Calgary for 18 years, I wish I would have known he was here. My condolences to the family.
