Condolences
When I was 19, I was restless and didn't know what I wanted to do with my life.
I was an only child who was very loved but somewhat sheltered by my parents.
I moved to Alberta for a few months to live with Aunty Renee and Uncle Arthur and work out there. I was indeed part of the original Ontario riff-raff to move West!
They were nurturing and caring and helped me grow into a man. I will always treasure those memories of them and their immediate family.
As a result of the growth and maturity I encountered in Alberta, when I returned to Niagara I became a police officer and had a great career.
I have terrific memories of Aunty Renee and all my extended family in Alberta and I will miss her dearly.
All my love, Mark

Heartfelt condolences to the Smith family, from the Beeby family. So many years of friendship and wonderful family memories. I think Auntie Renee is the last of the Laing's bunch who immigrated to Canada in the 50's and settled on 12th Avenue in Burnaby. It's kind of the end of an era. Auntie Renee had a long, wonderful life, surrounded by many friends and family. What a beautiful life she lived. We will miss her very much, but will treasure all the memories we have together. Love Carol XXXX
