Condolences
Gregory may your soul find peace. I would like you to know how much uour kind consideration was appreciated towards my sister. Thank you and you always had a special place to my mom. You will be missed by all who knew you
I have known Greg for over 20 years as an anti-poverty activist
One of my first memories was seeing Greg drop a coffin on the steps of 5the Provincial building “McDougall Centre” and it was full of empty promises to index social assistance to the cost of living. I learned from this day of Greg’s fearlessness and creativity. Sadly, twenty years later our signs and carefully edited letters continue to say the same message. I will miss Greg’s determination, creativity and pressure to hold the government accountable. I admired Greg’s commitment to support the activist community, shop local, embrace technology and ride a bicycle around our City. One of Greg’s last fights was to ensure the National Access Arts Centre’s new location and its design be a welcoming universal front entrance. Greg knew how much the arts centre mattered to Kim and the disability community. Greg had an enormous heart, perseverance and we hope to continue this work in Greg’s memory. My condolences to Greg’s family and friends, to Kim and to all who loved him. It was always learning experience working alongside Greg. I would say rest peacefully Greg, but frankly he never gave up fighting, we need more social justice warriors who burned bright like Greg. Greg, you will be sorely missed by the members of the Disability Action Hall.
My deepest condolences and sympathies to Kim, Greg's family and Greg's friends. I met Greg through the Disability Action Hall. I was impressed by his ability to see problems clearly and edit written documents. Thank you for your life's work Greg. Rest in peace. Colleen Peters
