Condolences
It is with great sadness we learn of the passing of Marian. We always enjoyed her visits to our "Dental Home", she will be missed by all of us in her Strathcona Dental Works Family! Sending hugs to Sid, John and Kai. May the many fond memories keep her close in your hearts always.
Ivan, Sid, Kai, and John,
Marian was one of my star team players over the years at BVC and ETC. She often shared with me what the family was up to and would reflect on some the vacation memories mentioned in her memorial. I've only just learned of her passing, and I would like to extend my condolences to each of you. You have lost an exceptionally wonderful lady.
I will fondly remember the philosophical and frank, honest conversations that I had with Marian and often looked forward too. I will also miss her terrific laugh and the great impressions that she always made when she showed up on the scene with her "fabulous" outfits and sunglasses.
Thank you for sharing Marian with me and my teams for so many years. She will be missed!
Aunt Marian was a beautiful person inside and out. I didn't see her often but the times we connected she always had a great sense of humour with a fantastic heartfelt laugh. She will be dearly missed. Prayers for peace in your hearts to uncle Ivan, Sid, Kai, John, and their families.
Love Cathy
Marian took me to my first big concert, Iron Butterfly, in 1970 or 1971. She opened my eyes to a whole new world and taught me to think and live outside the box. Sometimes it was years or even a decade between visits, but we would pick up immediately where we left off. I will miss her laughter, her depth, her constant surprises, her openness, her frankness, her generosity and I better stop before I fill the page.
Marion may you finally find the inner peace that you sought since your earliest beginnings.
You deserve it.

Ivan, Sid, Kai and John,
Marian was my Gracewood walk buddy. We had great conversation about teaching, movies, politics and life in general. We would always met in our cul-de-sac and she would often greet me in Spanish. Off we would go never knowing where our conversations would take us, however, they would often include outright laughter. Adios mi dulce amiga.
My heartfelt sympathy and much love goes out to Ivan, Sid, John, Kai and family... Marian spoke highly and lovingly of each and every one of you. I am deeply saddened about the loss of my beautiful friend and sad that due to not being well I couldn't attend the viewing or Celebration of Life and my thoughts are with you all. How fortunate I was to have had Marian in my life for the many years that I did. I have such fond memories of the fun and intelligent conversations we shared over good food and wine, our love of fashion, our little trips to Banff and New York, and the support we gave to one another. I will miss you my friend. ❤️
Marian was an amazing light every Sunday at Lagree. We always had great conversations and she worked so hard! I will will miss her so much. We all will ❤️
On behalf of everyone here at the The Mansion’s we are saddened to hear about the loss of one of our Residents. Marion participated in our neighbourhood activities and enjoyed walking in our complex. We will miss her. Our condolences to Ivan and all members of the family. - The Board of Directors-
It is with a heavy heart that we say good-bye to our dear, loving friend Marian. Marian and I met at a workout class and bonded pretty much that day. We continued for the 7 years meeting up to workout, walk, talk, bike and hike. She was always game to go anywhere and catapult herself to new heights, even though she was afraid of heights. She never hesitated to enjoy the scenery. Marian was one of the most intelligent women I knew. She was even willing to teach me Spanish by sending me funny Spanish text messages, and wait for a reply. I will miss Marian everyday, as she left a huge void in my life!! Marion, may you rest in peace.
Bruce & I have become close friends with the Boychuk Holloway family and we send our deepest love and condolences to them all.
I'm sad to hear about the passing of my friend Marian. I met her through a group that hiked together and our friendship grew from there. We shared a love of the outdoors, family, travel, books and alot more. Marian had such a quick wit! Oh she could make me laugh! I am going to miss her.
My thoughts go out to Ivan and her family.
My heartfelt condolences to Ivan and famiy. Marian and I met at the bridge clubs and quickly became friends. She was such a wonderful, interesting and caring person. She would often talk about her sons and grandchildren. We felt connected by both of us having three sons and we would talk about them often. She so loved her family. Once we went on an all girls trip to Paris where we explored fashion and culture and the arts. It was wonderful to share that experience with her. She was so knowledgeable about so many things. I am deeply saddened by Marian's passing and do hope the family will find comfort in the many beautiful memories shared together. Fondly, Joan Taras
