Condolences
Pam, Brady, Josh and Mason,
I am so very sorry to hear about your husband/dad. I remember him well and I know he will be very dearly missed. Sending love and hugs to you all. You will be in my prayers. Love Mrs. Friedel (Rhoda)
Our sincere condolences to Pam, Brady, Josh, Mason, Mike's extended family and friends.
I'll miss seeing Mike in the arenas, hanging out with a beer and his random surprise text messages about government policy and hockey tweets. He always made me laugh. He was always willing to help.
Mike had an incredible sense of humour but also the ability to deliver one liners without cracking a smile and making it seem like it was just a part of the conversation. When he did smile you knew it was a zinger, and he was pretty proud of that joke! It was great to be around him when he was smiling and we will miss him.
I am sending my love and condolences to the Margaritis family. I always had fun with Michael when we managed the Safeway at 12th and Cambie. He was always so congenial and had that wry, dry sense of humour that characterized him and always made me laugh. I’ll say a prayer for you all.
It is heartbreaking to hear of a leader who calmness I so admire. A leader listened when his employees spoke, you gave solutions when employees looked up to him. You are gone but the legacy lives.
To the family and friends of my late boss, have my sincere condolences, take heart in the Lord so that He can comfort you and give you courage to live during and after this troubling time.
To the deceased DM Michael Margaritis, REST IN PERFECT PEACE AND MAY LIGHT PERPETUAL SHINES UPON YOUR SOUL AND THE SOULS OF ALL FAITHFUL DEPARTED. SLEEP ON SIR!
Dear Pam and family,
My sincerest sympathies go out to you all. I remember Michael very well while working at Safeway together in Vancouver at retail and the office while mentoring him in his early years at Safeway. His personality was one in a million and his passion to succeed was very evident. We worked on several projects together as I got to know him even more. He alway had a smile and his humour would turn any bad day into a good one. I was shocked to hear of his passing and although we lost touch after leaving the lower mainland, he was thought of often and always spoken of highly. He loved his wife and family and would always go out of his way to make them his priority, without exception, a true example of what family values are and should be.
He will be sadly missed by all that had the fortunate opportunity of knowing him, and will never be forgotten for the great memories he left us with us.
May you and the family find comfort and peace during this difficult time as our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Our condolences to Pam, Brady, Josh, Mason, Siea and everyone in the McTavish family. We will remember Mike as a happy, fun-loving man who was very proud of his family and loved them dearly. Mike always had a funny story to tell - we remember having a good laugh as he shared his experience trying to do yoga with Pam. May he rest in peace.
Condolences to the family. I worked with Michael at Safeway Calgary Office. He was always making me laugh with his stories, great sense of humor and overall great guy. Will miss him. Brad Gal.
Pam and the kids, my condolences go to you guys. I’m so sorry for your loss. What an amazing dad Michael was, I remember always coming over to babysit the kids and how cheerful Michael always was. I remember how much he absolutely cared and cherished his kids. He had so much love for them. But not only the kids, but for Pam also. I’d always come by to babysit and that was always because Pam and Michael would be going out. I remember always seeing them dressed up so nice and always looking so happy together. I wasn’t there around you guys much, but when I was you guys were always so happy and had that unconditional love for each other. But Michael was so great to everyone, I even remember after all the date nights when you guys would come home and then drive me home as well and even though I was younger and a bit shy in the car ride home he would always keep some good conversations with me… Working at sobeys Cranston, Michael would always come into the store and never forget to come say hi to me. He was always happy and definitely uplifted my mood while working there, when he would bring in the kids it would make my day to see how big they’ve gotten!! Then he came in not long ago and told me what had happened. It shot my day and I couldn’t stop thinking about it till this day. He’s been in my thoughts everyday since then and that just goes to show what a great man he was, how much he impacted other’s lives. Michael and my conversation was sad and sort of awkward, that’s because you truly do never know what to say in a situation like that. You don’t see each other often so within that time you never know what might happen. So I said was “See you later”. But you know what, we will all see Michael later at some point of life, you never know what it could be but there will be that time where you think of him and he’ll be there for all. My condolences and love goes to all the family, Michael was a great man and forever will be.
Dear Pam, Brady,Josh and Mason and Family,
Bob and I wanted you to know that we are thinking of all of you and send our heartfelt condolences. Mike really was "one of the good guys"...in fact we would say he was one of the great guys. Kind, funny, generous (ok, inappropriate at times :) ), and a true family man.
We hope that ALL your good memories help you through this difficult time.
I worked with Mike at the Safeway office, and truly enjoyed all his stories and witticism. His practical jokes are still talked about, and I will truly miss the guy. Condolences to his family.
Mike made everyday at Safeway enjoyable. He brought laughter and smiles to everyone around him constantly! I’ll never forget our memories and all the laughs we shared. It was my pleasure to be his friend. Many condolences to Pam and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Pam, Brady, Josh and Mason
Please know you have our unwavering love and support at such a difficult time and we will always be there for you. Mike made us laugh at every get together, party, birthday, hockey game, vacation. His love for the boys was very apparent no matter how much they occasionally ticked him off. Pam you and Mike have an incredible bond that will never be broken. Our hearts break for you but please know you are not alone. We are there for you and the boys.
Love Laural, Luis, Matteo and Mary.
We are very sorry to hear about Mike's passing. Our condolences to Pam and the kids. Mike was a true original. He was often hilarious and I can honestly say I never had a bad day with Mike. He could be so delightfully inappropriate .His stories cracked me up. He always had a quip or a joke to share. The look on Pam's face as she quietly groaned was priceless. He was clearly a devoted husband and father to his three boys. Our family felt truly blessed for the time we got to spend together. Our thoughts go out to Pam and the kids during this difficult time.
Oh Pam, I am so, so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I hope you and the boys are holding up ok. I am only a phone call away if you need anything at all. My love and prayers go out to you all. xo
Michael made going to work better, made me laugh until my side hurt and helped without asking. Truly sad to hear about his passing. Rest easy, my friend. My condolences to his family and friends.
