Condolences
Dear Hedy,
It was so nice to meet and visit you at your home in Kelowna, after the Gerwing reunion in 2003. Farewell and I wish you peace on your final journey. Rita Göckener/Alstätte
Sending my deepest condolences on the loss of dear Hedy, I was so sorry to hear that she had passed, Hedy was such a beautiful lady with an amazing spirit, she will be so missed by all who had the good fortune to cross paths with her. I loved to hear her stories which were always about her amazing family and the business she loved to share with her husband. Hedy always made us smile when she was so happy with all the flowers she received and how she really appreciated a good glass of wine and good music. Rest in peace Hedy, and may your wonderful family find comfort in shared memories.
Take Care,
Kim Omelchuk

Another wonderful long lifer gone. Those family members must be having a great reunion in the sky. All those stories..... Remember the wonderful times, all of you. Marianne Parsons
Our love and memories of Aunt Hedy remain with us upon her passing. Aunt Hedy was an energetic beautiful young woman when I first knew her. Every day was a celebration of joy and enthusiasm, and always with flair! She spoke delightfully and it was a pleasure to listen to her expression. She was constant supporter of her husband, Clem, and picture book Mother to her children. Aunt Hedy performed all her roles with formality and dignity. We surely miss this grand and loving woman. My sympathies to all of her children, my cousins, who carry on her style and grace in their lives.
My sincere condolences to your family from the Emil Gerwing family. Hedy was such an interesting lady. I loved the stories she told and have many fond memories of her and Clem. I must add that the picture you chose captures her spirit.
Sending our Sympathy on the passing of auntie Hedy. You will have lots of great stories to share over this next while. All of these “long lifers” — wow. Our family will never forget the help that came from your
parents house in the form of boxes of shoes when we were soo in need. Enjoy the memories.

Julie and family send their condolences. Clem and Hedy got married a year before Julie and Hardy and the young couples had lots of fun playing cards and getting the kids together to play while the adults visited. Julie was happy to be able to talk to Hedy in July a couple of days after her birthday this past July. The 100 year old talking to the 99 year old and now Julie is the only sister in law led from the John Gerwing siblings. She will be missed.
