Obituary of Jane Peters
January 16, 1955 - Cabri, Saskatchewan
September 21, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta
Jane Peters (nee Caza) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the age of 67 years.
Jane was born in Cabri, SK, where she lived for her childhood and youth. After a few years in Regina, she moved to Calgary where she met her loving husband Paul, and they started their life together. Prior to their three children and afterwards she had various careers, but her true passion was being a mother. Even during her years of courageous battles with various cancers and illnesses she would always put others first. She was very active in her children's schools, the community and church.
Jane lived a full life with many travel opportunities, the top ones being Africa, Italy and Ireland. Much of her joy, after her children had grown up was her three grandchildren who she loved to spoil. She would take any opportunity she could for one of the older two to join her for her morning coffee at McDonald's.
Whether it was driving in the country or spending weekends at their lake house, Jane and Paul enjoyed their later years together. Jane will be remembered as a strong-willed woman whose perseverance and resiliency helped her defy all medical odds and continue living many years beyond expected. She will be incredibly missed.
Jane was survived by her two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and Rod Pizarro and Jamey and Reid Penner, son and daughter-in-law Jeff Peters and Brittany Hicks; and her three grandchildren, Chloe and Asher Pizarro and Cameron Penner. She was also survived by her sisters, Cheryl Caza of Regina, SK and Bev Bradshaw of Regina, SK; and two brothers and sister-in-law, Steven and Theresa Caza of Vibank, SK and Chris Caza of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Paul, her parents Edgar and Audrey Caza and her brother Leigh Caza.
