Condolences
John was an inspiration. He motivated me to pursue a career in project management and along with Marg, inspired me to join hiking and cross country skiing clubs. I am forever grateful for their friendship. While we’ve lost a great soul, his spirit lives on in the wildflowers, in the garden of their beautiful home in Silver Springs and on the mountain trails in summer and winter. Be at peace John and know that you are truly loved.
I was fortunate to get to know John through our work together at MRU first as as a colleague, mentor, and eventually as a neighborhood friend. His unique kindness, and his passion for helping people learn and grow, will truly be missed by many. Sincere condolences to Marg and Family from The Evanson Family.
I remember John as a man who loved life and lived it well. I enjoyed many conversations with John reflecting upon and his life experiences. I hope those experiences have been recorded for others to read and reflect upon. John was a great friend. He is missed.
Dear Marg,
My thoughts are with you on the loss of John. Such a fine gentleman and a pleasure to share the trail with - hiking or skiing. May your wonderful memories help you though the difficult times ahead. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Marg, our sincere condolences. We have many great memories of John. First getting to know John and you at exercise classes at the YMCA. We found out that we shared similar interests in the outdoors both summer and winter. John was very kind, supportive and encouraging for 2 novice cross country skiers and hikers.
While at the UofC I was very pleased to have John instruct our first Project Management courses for Adult Students. He was able to combine his teaching background with solid workplace experience that students appreciated.

Linda and I send our condolences to John's family. I am in the same hiking club as John was, and we did many treks together over the years. I always remember him as happy and cheerful, a great companion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
