I will always cherish the memories that I shared with Merle. We had some great adventures together.
I miss her greatly.
It was with great sadness when we heard of Merle's passing. She was such a wonderful friend! Back in Marlborough Park Church days she was such an encouragement and help. We remember Merle, Susan and another friend like 3 peas in a pod travelling and laughing the whole time. Also it was sad to hear of Gail's passing in the obituary as well as we hadn't heard. Merle and I (Bev) also went to Art classes in Carstairs together and where I saw her last. Our sympathies to all her family. Would love to see you all again but unfortunately will not be able to attend due to illness at this time. With our love and prayers, Bev and Ken From in Didsbury.
We have nothing but great memories of Merle. We met her when we moved to Carstairs,,AB in 2008 at a church we both attended. I also joined one of the Art Groups she was associated with. My husband Marty & I both loved her. Marty has a great sense of humor & in that way, they connected immediately! We thought we knew a lot about Merle’s life but until we read her obituary, we never dreamed she was involved in so many things. Thankyou for taking time to tell us about all those interesting parts of her life. She was a great hostess. We always felt more than welcome anytime we called on her. We knew her for her kindness, her sense of humor, her thankful spirit, her hospitality & her love of God, she will be missed by many people. It is comforting to know she was so loved & treasured by her family and now she will have been welcomed into her Heavenly Home, reunited with the ones she loved, who have gone on before her. We will not forget her. We love you Merle! Marty & Eileen Pasishnek
I remember Merle mostly from the time we attended the same church. When my husband and I started a Bible study in our basement Merle was almost always in attendance even when she had to bring along her oxygen tank.
Meryle we know you'll be sorely missed by your family and friends.
Merle and I were friends for 47 years. We had holidays and adventures together and laughed so much and cried as well. She was so spontaneous and with just a phone call would drop what she was doing and off we would go, whether it was a movie, visit or DQ. I miss her so much. I love you Merle. Susan
I was so fortunate to have Merle as a friend,we always had good visits over a cup of tea, loved her humor and her kind, gentle spirit and she is greatly missed.
She always spoke so lovingly of all her family,Grandkids & Great Grandkids as well, and of her Faith in Jesus.
See you in Heaven my friend.
Olive Neufeld
Merle was a wonderful friend and mentor; we spent many hours together over the last 40 plus years. I moved back to Saskatchewan in 2006 but we still managed to get together for her 90th birthday. She had a very strong relationship with God and I know that she is happy now with her family in heaven. Miss you my friend. Merna Hanson
I met Merle when I was about 13 or 14 years old. I was I awe of the really cool lady she was then. As we grew up I realized she was the most amazing woman I would have the pleasure of knowing. I enjoyed every minute I was lucky enough to share with her.
She was loved much and will be greatly missed. Cathy
