Condolences
Norma & Family,
Sending our deepest condolences on the loss of dear Freda, what a beautiful human being she was, her bright eyes and smile just lit up the room. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to have her share her life, her story with us.
No matter what kind of day she was having, she would always offer a helping hand to everyone. We will all miss her so much.
Praying that warm memories shared as a family bring you comfort and peace in the coming days.
Take Care,
Kim Omelchuk & Team of Revera Evergreen
My sincere sympathies to Norma and her family. I will always cherish my memories of growing up next to our spunky neighbour Freda. She was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed chatting with her in the later years and listening to her stories. I am so sorry for your loss Norma.
Norma, our sincere condolences of your Mother's passing. Thinking of you and your family at this sad time, may your memories of your Mother sustain you all in the days ahead. Freda was one of my oldest cousins, and although she was 20 years older than me I have fond memories of her and all of her family growing up. Blessings to all of you. Heather (Knox) Sagan
I have a scarf Freda knit for me. It's one of my favorites. She let me choose the yarn and designed it with a little hole so I can slip one end through and tighten it up. It's fluffy and catches the light and the colors are bright and fun. I was trying to upload a picture but my words will have to do. I remember her sitting there helping me choose and then she whipped it up in no time at all. I think of her and her part in our family every time I wear it and my neck is warm and toasty.
I knew Freda from her time at McDougall United Church. She was a treasure- feisty, informed, willing to learn, honest, out-spoken, kind and many other attributes come to mind. Her daughter and granddaughter were the light of her life. She was blessed to have such a family. I learned so much from her. I miss her. Marianne Medhurst
I still have the cloth napkins and place mats that Freda and Norma sewed for me for my wedding! Although the colors are faded along the fold lines, the cotton and thread are still strong, forty-three years later. When I use them going forward, I will remember the strong, upbeat woman she was. I feel lucky to have known her.
A life well lived leaves a beautiful bouquet of memories. Memories are the flowers in the garden of the heart. Freda was an active, and inspiring member of McDougall United Church. May it bring comfort to know your sorrow is shared.
