Comara Maria had the best laugh in Calgary. The joy she would spread my way every time I saw her at The Italian Church was inspirational. She was my Mom’s confirmation sponsor and while I didn’t see her much, even for those brief run ins at the church, she definitely made her zest for life clear. People like Maria change others for the better and maybe don’t even know it. We should all carry the same love she had in her heart for others and strive to make everyone smile everyday. Very sad to hear of her passing and I hope Heaven is smiling for her as she joins her friends and family there.

We are so saddened by this loss she was a big part of my life. Zia was so funny and sweet and her laugh was contagious! I fell asleep so many times on her couch as a child and always woke up tucked in warm. She was the only person in my family that spoke solely italian to me and my knowledge in the language today is because of her. I used to love watching her cook and loved her company I will miss her dearly. My condolences to Rob, Joe, and Angelo and all extended family she will never be forgotten!
