Condolences
When the girls were in Guides one of them had gone home with a tick. What was done? Oh, our dad took care of it. To me, I saw a wonderful caring Dad. I’m sorry for your loss.

We always enjoyed seeing the Sandau and Toews families in the pew behind us on Sunday mornings. That closeness of family is a true testament to you all.
Our sincere condolences,
Craig and Shari Barabash
It was a privilege to meet Lloyd and visit with him the several times I popped by his and Carol's home. Lloyd's light shone through. One could immediately see his gentle and caring personality. Lloyd was joyful and filled with grace and gratitude despite his illness. He was a model of compassion and understanding to his family and friends. His kind smile and love of family will be a keepsake in my heart.

When Jim and I first meant Lloyd & Carol at aquasize classes at shouldice pool, they basically adopted us and made us feel welcome. They invited us for coffee with them and their friend’s after swimming and became very good friends to us. Lloyd always had a little story to make everybody laugh. He will be missed.

I (Jackie Peterson née Sandau) have fond memories of my brother, Lloyd, growing up in the countryside. Whether it was our discussions during our walks to and from the country school, or having fun in the winter, sleigh riding down the nearby hill, he always looked out for us and ensured we had a good time. Even at a young age, his relationship to family was important.
In the 70’s, when our children from the “Sandau” families were growing up, he always made a point of visiting several times a year, fostering close family ties, facilitating the relationships between the nieces and nephews, and enjoying long visits with his mother, brothers / sisters, and in-laws. He was always so happy to be surrounded with family.
I am very grateful to have seen him once more this year, as we were able to surround him with our love, one last time, while he fought his illness. It was a privilege to have Lloyd as a brother. Whether it was his loyalty to family, or his laughter while being with family, or experiencing his wisdom when visiting with family, we all gained from having him in our lives.
My sincere condolences to Carol, the children and the grandchildren. Lloyd was always so proud of them.
Our deepest sympathy to Carol and family. Although it has been many years since we curled against Carol and Lloyd in the mixed curling league in Springbank, Lloyd was the consummate gentleman. He was such a gentle, kind man that curling against him was always such a pleasure. Lloyd was the definition of what good sportsmanship should look like. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during these difficult times.
Our sincere condolences to Carol and the Sandau family on the passing of Lloyd. We remember Lloyd as a wonderful, kind and gentle soul. Although we have not crossed paths for many years he will be missed. Our memories of the Mitchell family get-togethers are cherished by us and the vibes are still with us. Lloyd was one of the easiest people to talk to and had a way of making you feel you were important to him. May the Sandau family find peace in knowing that Lloyd touched many lives and was loved and respected by all. May he rest in peace. Patricia (Mitchell) and Ken Brown.
Cathy, Darren, Joel, Shayleen, Luke and extended family, the Suto family extends our sincere condolences on the loss of a treasured family member. May a lifetime of memories help through this difficult time.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Sandau family. We treasure over 40 years of memories - Mara Lake memories, Golden Vista AZ memories, Branson memories, Grey Cup and Super Bowl memories, shuffleboard memories, camping memories, and Wizard memories - all truly special. Lloyd will be sorely missed and we are truly blessed to have shared out lives with him. Rest in peace, Lloyd.
