Bonnie Osoff-Bultz

Obituary of Bonnie Jean Osoff-Bultz

April 3, 1947 – November 13, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Osoff-Bultz, on November 13, 2022, with her children by her side. Bonnie fought a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was the loving and devoted mother of Alissa and Jamie, Matthew and Janelle. She was the adored and cherished Bubby Bon-Bon to Max and Macy, cherished stepdaughter of Nancy Osoff, beloved sister of Mike Osoff and dear friend to Alan Briks. Bonnie was known for her warmth and radiant personality, caring and generous nature, superb intellect and wit, creative ingenuity, love of animals and devotion to her family.

Originally from Los Angeles, Bonnie enjoyed living in Halifax and Montreal, before making her home in Calgary since the early 80s. Over a dynamic career, Bonnie was a professional dancer, actor and choreographer. These attributes richly complimented her later work as a drama therapist, social worker and teacher, benefiting so many people. She worked at the Alberta Children’s Hospital for more than 30 years and consulted and volunteered with other health agencies and charitable organizations.

Bonnie shines brightly among the stars as an inspiration and will be deeply missed. The family is most grateful for the care giving of Evangaline Cabalbag and Alice Githaiga, as well as the compassionate care of Dr. Easton and Dr. Sarna and the caring staff at Prominence Way Retirement Community.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Chabad Lubavitch of Alberta, https://www.chabadalberta.org/, or the Parkinson Association of Alberta, www.parkinsonassociation.ca.

Funeral services will be held at the New Jewish Memorial Chapel and Cemetery located at the North-East Corner of highway 22X and 37 street S.W. on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements in care of the Chevra Kadisha of Calgary.
