Condolences
Hi Kat’s family
I worked with Kat at the Foothills Hospital. My name is Heather MacDonald and I am a physio there. Kat was the bright part of my day when I went to the fax/copier. She and I shared poetry together, funny part stories. I am a single mom of 3 kids. 2 of my daughters struggle with mental illness. Kat always asked after them and gave me much needed daily hugs. We both had a love of animals and plants. Kat was pure love and sunshine and a real inspiration to me when my life felt too hard to keep going. I have been off on stress leave and just found out about her passing. I am so sorry for your loss. All my love, Heather
We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Katrina Kube. We were family friends with the Kubes since we all lived in Edson, Alberta back in the mid-1970s. When Katrina was born in Ottawa in the early 1980s we spent time together and remember how Katrina kept up with the bigger kids, even though she was a decade younger. Later on, when the Kubes returned to Alberta, we got to know Katrina better when we spent time with the Kube family in their house in Canyon Meadows. Katrina was always looking out for others and we will not forget how she remained a bright light, caring for her mother, Irene, during her illness.
Katrina brought positivity and kindness to this world; she will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Graeme, Catherine, Colin, and Amanda Kershaw
P.S. Catherine would like to reconnect with Brent and Julia, please call her at 403-225-0610 when you get time.
Our deepest condolences to the entire family. Katrina will be greatly missed. I know she will be busy taking care of all the dogs that she loved with all her heart (Lincoln, Sailor, Karma & Mindy). Katrina you always had something witty to say on our Birthday, Celebrating July 24th with my birthday twin always and forever.
Thank you for being our friend.

Kat, I miss you and our conversations. You were very perceptive, great insight and advice, edgy humour, and unfailingly positive. Peace be with your family. Love, Vikki Um
I met Kat over a Zoom call in 2020 maybe it was 2021. She sent me a private message and said something along the lines of "I think we live in the same building" When we confirmed that we did, we each made our way to our balconies and waived to each other. From time to time, we'd text each other to complain about the noisy kids in the courtyard. I'm gonna have a box of Annie's Cheese Shells for dinner tomorrow. I'm really glad I met you. I loved knowing that you'd get my dark jokes. I'll miss you.
Condolences to all the fam.
