Joe and I were so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. We met Carol when the Calgary 5 Pin Bowlers Association has their very first casino, and she was our Countroom Supervisor. We had so much fun with her, that she became our Cage Advisor for all our Casinos including 2 other Associations from then on.
Our biggest laugh with Carol was at a New Years Eve Casino. One of our volunteers loved to bug her continuously, and she was such a good sport about all the jokes. She actually telephoned her husband and told him about the "crazy volunteer" who she actually gave a little slap. Everyone including the casino staff around the area had a great laugh. When she retired she made sure that we had another great person to work with so that we never skipped a beat. Carol always cared about all the volunteers, and watched our children grow up who eventually became volunteers working with her.
Carol, you will be truly missed and I will miss seeing you coming to my place of work to buy stuff for your quilts and purse making. Your smile was so big and bright.
You are truly one of the great ones!
