Joe and I were so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. We met Carol when the Calgary 5 Pin Bowlers Association has their very first casino, and she was our Countroom Supervisor. We had so much fun with her, that she became our Cage Advisor for all our Casinos including 2 other Associations from then on.
Our biggest laugh with Carol was at a New Years Eve Casino. One of our volunteers loved to bug her continuously, and she was such a good sport about all the jokes. She actually telephoned her husband and told him about the "crazy volunteer" who she actually gave a little slap. Everyone including the casino staff around the area had a great laugh. When she retired she made sure that we had another great person to work with so that we never skipped a beat. Carol always cared about all the volunteers, and watched our children grow up who eventually became volunteers working with her.
Carol, you will be truly missed and I will miss seeing you coming to my place of work to buy stuff for your quilts and purse making. Your smile was so big and bright.
You are truly one of the great ones!

My heart is broken at the sad news of one of the sweetest ladies I've ever known.
I was bestfriends with Connie & spentt lots of time with Carol, she became my second mom.
Carol was better then any nurse @ caring for Merideth & her special needs.
Carol was happy to teach you how to care for her, if you were interested.
Thank you Carol for all you taught me & for loving me like you did.
I enjoyed every moment I had with you.
I love you & will never forget you.
I love you Carol(mom)
My dear friend you will be missed! Your laugh and support made our casino nights so fun and simple. The slow times spent painting your nails are so cherished. You love of Hawaii and the stories of your travels truly touched me. The macadamia nuts and plumeria lotion you shared where amazing!! Your love and adoration of your Connie and her Trevor made me smile, you always so proud. You were a true sweet and treasured friend xoxo
