Obituary of Judy Liddle

April 18, 1966 – Trinidad and Tobago

January 9, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Lovingly missed by her family and friends, Judy Liddle of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the age of 56 years.

Born and raised in Trinidad, Judy immigrated to Canada in 1985. Judy quickly embarked on her new life in Calgary, exchanging the warmth of the Caribbean for the hospitality of the Canadian Prairies. Embracing numerous life changes and challenges, she endeavoured to make new acquaintances and friendships.

While navigating her journey, Judy made fantastic friends, created exciting memories, and became a champion of those less fortunate. Judy became a benefactor to several charities, most notably an orphanage in Trinidad, and hosted numerous fundraising activities throughout the years. She was known for her effervescent personality and generous nature. She was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Judy is survived by her father Simon Rampersad; and her siblings, Angie (Rudolph), David (Avi), Heyma, Avian (Brad) and Shellyann. Judy deeply loved her nieces and nephews, Debbie (Andy), Kenny (Alandra), Ken, Laura (Ranjan), Ana (Ashmeed), Rachael (Shashi), Richard, Alexa, Bryan, Isabella and Ethan. She was predeceased by her mother Meena Rampersad and sister Shoba Bissoondial. Her vibrant spirit continues to live on in each and every beautiful memory we all shared.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Liddle’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
