Betty, Melissa, Travis and Girls, our deepest condolences on Ski's passing. I served with Ski in the early 1990s in Winnipeg with 2 PPCLI. He was a mentor and friend to myself and many other soldiers who served with him. Ski had a gruff exterior but heart of gold ,his quick wit and sense of humor even in the most trying of time's were just some of his many attributes. Ski choose service over self and had many accomplishments within his military career, these accomplishments were not possible without the support of Betty and Melissa who stood by his side and supported him during long periods of deployments and exercises away from home.
The lives of us who were lucky to know and serve with Ski were forever changed for the better.
Betty, Melisa , Travis and girls, Joann and I wish you strength and peace during this hard time.
Betty, Melissa, Travis and Girls. Our thoughts are with you all, in these sad times. It was always a pleasure to see him at the hockey rink helping out with the girls and the rest of the team. He will be missed by many.
Kim, Kevin, Westyn and Beckett Hall.
RIP Ski. As a young officer in the PPCLI, I learned a lot from him - lessons that still serve me well. Condolences to his family and thank you for sharing him with the Army.

Wonderful man Ski, I met him my first day in Winnipeg with the PPCLI. I will never forget our first meeting and words. “So you the guy who got in trouble, I got some work for yeh.” He smiled, “Don’t worry you will be alright.” Smiles again. Always that smile. You will be missed.
