Condolences
To Irma, Derek & Darren and family,
I just heard of Ron's passing and would like to pass on my deepest condolences to all of you. I have fond memories of when our children swam together at Cascade Swim Club. May your memories of Ron bring you happiness and comfort.
Irma, I am so sorry to only hear about Ron’s passing today. Deepest of condolences to you and the boys. I always appreciated the support that you both as well as Dave And Lita gave me over the years. He is in good hands with the lord now.
Hi Irma and family, we are so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Our condolences go to you all and we are thinking about you.

Our deepest sympathy to Irma and the boys.
I went to university with Ron and later worked with him while as we continued our accounting careers. Since that time we have enjoyed our friendship with Ron and Irma, from the house parties in both Saskatoon and Calgary, to enjoying the boy’s weddings to accompanying him to play golf badly.
We are so sorry we can’t be at the memorial service.
We will cherish our memories with much love.

Our condolences to Irma and family, Claude and Nicole
It is with great sorrow that we send our love and condolences to Irma and family.
We’ve had the pleasure of knowing Ron since our newlywed days in Saskatoon. As poor students, we played a lot of cards, tennis, and brewed our own beer. The filtered product usually was hard enough to swallow, but Ron couldn’t stand the waste of pouring the leftover sediment down the drain, and we can still picture him taking a few long swigs straight from the hose. After graduation, we did away with the home brew, and progressed to midwinter indoor BBQ’s in Ron’s garage.
Ron was a master story teller. We often reminisce the story of Ron and Irma’s visit to an Irish pub. Ron asked the waiter for an authentic Irish dish, such as Irish stew. The waiter said it wasn’t on the menu, so they settled for pizza. After the meal, Ron asked the waiter for a glass of their finest Irish whiskey. Their bill for two pizza was $20 and the glass of whiskey was $135. A step up from our home brew days.
In later years, our friendship included our children and grandchildren. Ron’s presence will always be with us.
Sorry we can’t be there for Ron’s service, but will be with you virtually.

Ron’s love of golf was so very inclusive. He invited me to play on more than one occasion even though I’m terrible at the game. His subtle sense of humour was to be enjoyed. When I golfed a seven on a par three Ron told me that it could only improve. Next hole eight on another par three. He then shared that winning smile and the observation that he had perhaps been mistaken. Ron then asked if I understood the ball was to go in the cup at some point.
At the clubhouse Ron asked if I had any questions. I pointed out that I really didn’t know what a birdie, eagle or handicap were. His comedic timing was perfect. Waiting for me to take a large drink of beer Ron observed that as far as handicap, mine seemed to be an actual physical impediment . Having returned almost all of the beer to the mug he mentioned that I should try that with the ball and cup. He will be missed.
