Elmer was truly one of the nicest person I have ever known. Yes, that is so true. He had a dry wit and I saw firsthand how he looked after Carol for oh so many years. I probably met Elmer 35 to 40 years ago and by a strange coincidence a young man from Saskachewan was hired and worked with Elmer in Calgary. It was here in Calgary where the young Saskatchewan fellow met one of our daughters and they were eventually married and moved to their farm in Sask. He always spoke to me about working with Elmer and he thought very highly of Elmer in many ways and many times.
