Condolences
Dear Lori and all of the beautiful Poscente Family,
I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad/Grandpa/Friend. Some of my favourite childhood memories are when your Dad had the tent set up in the backyard and 8-10 of us girls would sleep over. We were always so loud but never seemed to get in trouble or were told to be quiet. As a parent now, I am amazed at the unbelievable patience that he had for us time and time again.
He will always be remembered.
Sincerely,
Jennifer (Strilchuk) Schulz
Hi Liz, I was so sorry to read about Larry in the Herald. I watched the celebration of life. It was lovely. It was so nice to see Lori and her children and all your family. My thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad time. Sincerely, Anne Strilchuk Carstairs, Ab.

I only recently heard of Coach Poscente's passing and wish to send my condolences to the Poscente family. Coach was one of my Hilltoppers Bantam Football coaches in the mid '70's. Coach was a mentor to a team that was comprised mostly of Italian kids. I looked up to Coach as an Adult coach that was still in great shape! Coach Poscente taught us how to run like athletes. We were amazed on how he would instruct us while running backwards faster than us players running forward. Coach Poscente worked at a job that allowed him to coach in the evenings during the summer and fall, I appreciate the time he afforded us. I carry with me Coach's mentoring into my football career as a coach at St. Francis and now the University of Calgary. Through prayer I thank you Coach Poscente!

We would like express our deepest sympathies for your loss. We will always remember Larry for his big smile and the enthusiasm and positive energy he showed every time we saw him. He was a breath of fresh air whose positivity brightened the day and indeed the lives of all those he encountered. We will miss his kindness and compassion and the love he had for his family -- an example for us all. We will miss him dearly.

Condolences from Laurie Luciani, and Cathie Luciani-Cox Thanks for the lovely video.
Dear Lori, Randy and family. We were saddened to hear of the death of Larry, your father and grandfather.
We did not know him, but we do know how the heart is broken when a family looses their father figure.
Having been a part of our Italian family and hearing the words of all of you ,we know what you have lost.!
So many of the stories and the characteristics that were shared, seemed somehow familiar and bought
us some special memories.
Be good to yourselves, and remember that Love is the reason we miss them ,we mourn them,
we keep them in our Hearts forever.
Our deepest sympathies and sending Hugs to all! Laurie and Cathie
Dear Poscente family,
I attended St. Mary's with Larry in the early 1960's. We were the Calgary High School football champions in 1962 thanks mainly to quarterback Tim MacDonald throwing many touchdown passes to the fastest guy in town, Larry Poscente. As I recall, he was the absolute favorite of our coach Bill Casanova. Coach Cas entered eternal life a few years back so I'll say what I'm sure he would say: "Rest in peace Pisan, rest in peace."

Dear Poscente family,
I am so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. Larry was a school mate at St. Mary’s, a team mate, and a fellow recipient of the first Italian Club’s sportsman award. Larry was an exceptional athelete. He had a great life after coming from Antrodoco, the same town of my mother’s family. Rest In Peace my friend.

We are so very sorry for your tremendous loss. Larry was a great man, always so happy, friendly, and helpful. I will always remember him coming to our house when Rowan was really sick to be my handyman-for-a-day. He acted like it was nothing, but it was a big something to us. Larry touched the lives of so many. Sending you all so much love.

Liz and family I was sadden to read of Larry's passing, which brought forward in my mind, the friendly waves and great sidewalk visits. Walking or driving by your home and seeing the lovely flowers everywhere was so special, and if I was lucky enough to see you outside we would have the best visits and get caught up on all the things that had gone. Larry was always so friendly and I know he will be missed as husband and father.
Your neighbor,
Susan Thivierge & family

My Condolences to Liz and Family. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Larry at AGT Cellular. He was such a joy to work with and he had a great sense of humour! He was a wonderful mentor and friend too! I and my family loved the Family Picnics we had and the many adventures camping with all the "Cellular" Folks. My children that are grown now still remember those times with fond memories. It was awesome to see the loving relationship he had with Liz and the joy he had with his children and grandchildren.
Big hugs to all.....he was an unforgettable man we were so blessed to have known!
Sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. May all the wonderful memories bring you strength and peace!

Deepest condolences to our cousin Larry. He is in the hands of God in Heaven. May God Bless the family during these trying times, especially the palliative care received in the Dulcina Hospice. The family was fully participating in his care. The love was shared with all being present during this time. Liz, you have to be an angel. God Bless, Guy and Joan

Dear Lori, Paul, Jason and all of Larry's family
My sympathy and prayers are extended to all of you as you mourn the loss of Larry.
We went to high school together and although haven't had contact in years I do remember meeting Lori when I was replacing one Sunday at Assumption Church.
May the many memories you treasure and share, and the prayers of those who care for you give you strength and support during this difficult time.

Condolences to Liz and family. When Larry and I reconnected at a 25 year school reunion he couldn't wait to talk about his family. and over all the years since then the main topic was always his love for Liz, children and grandkids. Larry and I were classmates, team mates, friends and I always knew he was someone special. It was only as we aged and he shared more did I truly understand how special. A gentle man, kind and sensitive and all the virtues you would want in a friend. He was a superb athlete and man. I will miss Larry but I am so lucky to know(n) him. Lou and Glyn Violini
Larry was, by far, one of the most amazing people I have known. My father-in-law, my friend, my drinkin' buddy, my role model. He was a humble soul, willing to drop everything to assist or offer advice, but graceful enough to let you find your own path. His presence will be sorely missed by all of us, who hold him dear. His legacy lives on through his kids and grandkids - we have all been touched by his spirit and endeavor to carry his strength, compassion and love into the future. Thank you for all that you have done for us!
