Condolences
Don was a stalwart and kindly Knight!
By "Knight", I mean a member of the Knights of the Round Table, an organization who meet for lunch and speaker (approaching their 100 year Anniversary in Calgary) and where I first met Don. Don made for a lively table and also made great contributions to the discussions and learnings taking place.
Some of the friendships at Knights formed smaller groups going to community affairs and friend's homes. Many afternoons were spent with conversation and lovely meals at Linda and Don's. Thank you Linda for your kindnesses and our sympathies at this time. We will miss Don.

My deepest condolences to Don’s family. I met Don as members of the Hook And Hackle Club. Don had taught me so much on his techniques of tying flies. He will be missed.
So sorry for your loss Linda. I am thinking of you
Heart felt condolences to Linda and Don's family. Walter and I knew Don through the Calgary Hook and Hackle Club. We spent a few sessions with him at his home where he taught us how to tie some special flies. Don was always joyful and we enjoyed seeing him at meetings and some of the club's outings. In the past few years we have not seen Don and regrettably, I did not visit him during his final year. I will always remember Don's smile and his enthusiasm for fishing. Don always had a story to tell me when I saw him, yet always found time to ask how things were going with me. Whenever I came to club meetings he greeted me with warmth and kindness. He was truly a kind-spirited and joyful person to be around. I will miss future opportunities to visit with Don.
Signed, Susan Simbirski
Condolences to Don's wife, Linda, and his family on behalf of the Calgary Hook and Hackle Club. Don was a valued member of the Hook and Hackle Club for 14 years and a fly fisherman for close to 58 years. His attendance at bi-monthly meetings and willing participation at Club events was enjoyed by all members. We wish him well in his new journey and he will be missed.

Dear Linda, Nikko, Tim and families,
We have lost a dear “old” friend who will be missed by his family and friends from many walks of life.
Our family times started in the 70’s and we will remember camping days, Christmas sleep-overs in Elbow Park, games, cards, birthday celebrations, wonderful meals with Don at the head of the table, proudly serving one of Linda’s special desserts.
Remember Don with a smile as genuine as his.
