Condolences
On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion High River Branch No.71, I wish to express condolences to the family on behalf of all of Barry's comrades at the branch.
May he Rest In Peace.
I met Barry at casino fund raising for the Legion. We chatted for 8 hours, finding much in common. I will miss his friendship as he was a very dear friend.
My Uncle Barry was an integral part of my childhood and teenage years. He was the one to start my love of cars and was always thrilled to show me the "new" one he got! I remember the tradition of putting up the Christmas tree every year at his house. I seemed to almost enjoy doing it there than at my own home!
I also remember his laugh and his smile. Both were warm and unique.
I will miss him.
Cindy & Family. We are so sorry to hear of Barry’s passing. He was one of a kind. Always smiling even when he was getting worked up about politics. We travelled a couple of times with Barry & he knew how to liven things up. He was a very giving person & will be sadly missed by many. Our sincere condolences.
Barry was a intregal member of the volunteer team at the High River Hospital. He began his voluneer time about 5 years ago. He wore many hats-being a porter for the rehab & gym time program, was a mealtime assitant helping to deliver the meals to the isolated residents during the pandemic, a lab driver and his passion sitting with individuals at end of life (for both the palliative care and NODA program at the High River Hopsital & SHC). Barry was a great conversationalist and enjoyed getting to know people's stories and their successes/ hardships. He will be missed by all who knew him and has left this world a better place .
Rest in Peace Barry.
Grace
Barry was such a good friend to so many residents on second floor High River LTC. He shared his car enthusiasm showing pictures and his life with conversations on many visits. There were a few laughs in his stories which brightened the days of many. He will be missed RIP friend. Condolences to the family.
