Condolences
Something made me start searching for my old high school friends. And i was so shocked to see that vic had died! Ouch! He was such a fun friend when i was in high school. I can see him clearly in my mind, and still hear his laughter.
I am sorry he is gone and that we did not stay in touch over the years. It sounds like he was a beloved person..all along! My sympathy to all of you.

Vic was one of my favorite people. Whenever I think of him, I can hear his fantastic laugh! My parents have been close friends with him and Pat since before I was born, so the whole Nielsen family have been more like family than friends. Vic always seemed so happy and light hearted. Even when conversations were more serious, he was positive. We'll really miss him at family get togethers.
My first memory of Vic was his big smile, his infectious laugh, and his caring ways. It makes me smile just thinking about that. I was very young when my mom, Helen and my dad, George (Aunt Helen's brother) would drop me off at the house on the west side of Calgary on the big hill. I don't remember what we did, but I remember Vic, Art, and I had tons of fun and I always wanted to go back for more! (Theresa, I am pretty sure you weren't born yet to join in, you missed out on a lot of giggles and laughter!)
Condolences to Vic's family, to Art and Darlene and family and to Theresa and family. Hugs to Aunt Helen.
Love

Vic's contagious laugh, his genius in mathematics and his zest for life is what I will always remember Vic for. May this time be filled with love and good memories as you grieve the loss of Vic. Our sympathy and love to you and your family, may you be comforted whenever you recall Vic with his big sincere smile and his witty humour. Take care.
Aunt Helen (Vic’s mother) and my mother (Mary) were very close. Hence, Vic was always over at our house and we were at Vic’s. Over the years my sister Mauna and Vic shared many adventures and activities. For example, Aunt Helen would pack a lunch and they would hike in the foothills near Calgary, with Art (Vic’s brother) and I happily tagging along. I witnessed Vic’s kindness and care for his sister Theresa. He was an inspiration for me. When I went to Art School Vic was attentive to my experiences and shared information about his neighbour Willard, whom had also attended Art School. Vic was very smart, had a great sense of humour and was an exceptionally rare and kind person. He will be missed
To Vic's family and friends,
My deepest condolences with the loss of a wonderful father, husband, friend and cousin. I always remember Vic fondly smiling and making us laugh at family get togethers. I'm sure he will make his home in the heavens a much happier place with his sense of humour. I know just the mention of Vic brings a smile to my face. Go in peace Vic.
So many great memories with all our cousins. A person's greatest heritage is fond memories left in the hearts and minds of family and friends. We carry sadness in our hearts, it makes us grateful for all our memories of Vic.

I remember Vic as he was in the picture. Happy, smiling, filled with kindness. He always made me feel welcomed and listened to when we visited. Every memory I have of him makes me smile. He will certainly be missed.
