Condolences
To Avril and the Family Jenny and I send our sympathy and love for the loss of Tony.He was my great friend and partner. He was a dedicated and compassionate physician. Many times his wisdom and knowledge led to me making better decisions. I am left with many enduring happy memories. Ted.
I came across this memorial while searching for something unrelated and thought this could be the Plews family that I met in Hawaii (1976). If so, and having experienced the loss my own parents, I would like to express my heart-felt condolences to your entire family.
The Powell & Britto family, had a very special relationship and fond recollection of Dr Plews as our GP from 1968 till he retired. He was not only a family friend but a miracle worker for all our aches and pains with his soothing style and calm demeanor. He addressed our issues in the most patient and understanding manner. We were sorry we were not able to keep in touch with him after his retirement and ill health. Please accept our sympathies at a passing of a great soul, Betty & Carl
Dr. Plews was one of the rare people who could put people at ease with his combination of rationality and caring manner. Just knowing that there was someone in the community who was a reasoned and level-headed thinker amidst all the outside craziness in the world was such a valuable and increasingly uncommon thing. Visiting he and Beth at the office was always made as low-stress as a doctor's office visit could realistically be made. We need more like him. He was a great guy. I believe he has gone on to a better place. David Hamilton
To Averil and Family. Bill and I would like to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of Dr. Plews. He was and outstanding medical doctor - always extraordinarily compassionate, intereseted and caring. No detail was overlooked. As a nurse I worked on staff at the clinic for over 23 years. He always took a personal interest in the lives of the staff and their families. He had a wonderful sense of humour. Dr. Plews will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched.
Mrs. Plews and Family I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to your family. Dr. Plews was my late father's family doctor for many years. As I was my dad's primary care giver,I would come with my dad for many of his appoinments with Dr. Plews. Dr. Plews was always there when we needed him. Not only was he a caring and warm physician, but he also was an excellent clinician. We missed him so much after his retirement and no one was able to provide the same level of care. I hope Dr. Plews was able to enjoy some of his well deserved retirement before his illness. I hope that you will receive some measure of comfort at this difficult time knowing how he touched the lives of so many of his patients and their families throughout his many years of practice in Calgary. Sincerely, Nancy Marshall

Our entire family adored him as their family Doc.(He deliverd our first grandchild). As busy as he always was, he always made time to listen and deal with every person's needs. Tony will be remembered by all who knew him, with respect, efficiency, and his kindness to everyone. He will now be enjoying his garden in Heaven! Chuck, Bev.,Sandi, Cyndi, Leah & Lara

Dr. Plews was my doctor for as long as he practiced in Calgary. He was the best doctor I have ever had, and I consider myself very fortunate to have had him as my general practitioner. He always listened with great interst, care, and compassion. My deepest sympathies to his family, and may his much loved garden grow with the same grace he grew in our lives.
Dr. Plews was the best Doctor anyone could have!. He looked after our family and was particularly attentive to our youngest daughter when she was very ill as a baby. I would call the office and he would meet me at the hospital. He did this several times. Also I was aware that he made house calls to ill seniors. He was a patient and caring Doctor and very difficult to replace these days. My husband and I often lament that he retired. Our heart felt condolences go to his family and we will always think of him as "our special Doctor" Sincerely, Jan and Robert LeBlond
