Condolences
The loss of Derek is a sad occasion for a world that needs people of the highest level of character and integrity that he always displayed in his business, social and family life. The good memories of the years we were associated with Derek in business and as a friend will always have an important place in our heart.
Irene, My wife Cathy and I want to extend to you our heartfelt sympathies in the death of Derek. We have wonderful memories of working with Derek in New York as well as Toronto. He was highly respected, extremely capable and a joy to work with. We send to you and the entire January family our sincere condolences.
i was truly saddened to learn of the passing of Derek. I had the pleasure of working with Derek for many years at the TD Bank. As a fellow "Brit", we had much in common and enjoyed many chats and lunched together. Derek was a true gentleman, thoughtful, kind and generous with his time and a valued friend. I send my sincere condolences to Irene, the children and grand children. I will always cherish fond memories of Derek and our time together.
Alison, I wish to express my sincere condolences to you and your family. May God touch each of you with comfort and strength. Lianny Ho October 7, 2010
