Obituary of Derek Charles JANUARY

Derek, beloved husband of Irene, passed away peacefully in Calgary on October 4, 2010 at the age of 79 years after a lengthy illness with Alzheimers. He is survived by his loving wife, Irene; their three children, Gavin (Sandy), Alison, Nick (Kylee); and their grandchildren, Caitlin, Ian, Gem, Tia and Jet, and will be sadly missed by all. Derek was born in Worthing, England in 1930 and he emigrated with his family to Canada in 1966 where he pursued a successful career with the Toronto Dominion Bank. He was well respected by his peers for his high moral standards, and will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, kindness and great sense of humour. There will be a private family remembrance in honour of Dereks life.
