attention to children of THOMAS BAINBRIDGE deceased 22 January 2011 . special attention to ERIN, DAVID, and ELIZABETH from DORA CORBETT @gmail.com I was very sorry to read of your father's sudden passing and although you may not remember who I am, i remember you as youngsters when your mother, Norma, taught on my school staffs. She joined the staff of Albert Park Elementary after coming off a maternity leave with you, David, I believe. She later came on staff at Banting and Best Elementary. Since we are both now Retired Teachers , we have lost touch with each other and this is part of the reason for my email. Would one of you please pass on my request for her to contact me or where I can contact her..... doracorbett@gmail.com 403-283-5413 Thank you and my sincere condolences at this time. Sincerely DORA CORBETT
I met Tom through his second wife Carol (nee Singer) while practicing Law in Calgary and later my son Olek (close in age to his daughters Catherine and Jacqueline) and I visited the family on Vancouver Island. Tom had a great mind, I loved debating with him and he was very artistic. He was one of those rare individuals who excelled at tasks with both sides of his brain. He was a family man, gentle, generous, with a wry sense of humour. He loved beauty. He will be sorely missed.
Today I learned of Thom's passing and am deeply touched. I knew Thom,as so many did, through his interest in Junior Oil Companies.Always a recipient of his quirky humor in emails and in meeting him,I will greatly miss him. My condolences go out to all his Immediate Family in their loss of a truly unique and wonderful person. God Bless you Thom.
We met Thom thru mutual interests in jr energy co's. Shared an appreciation for quirky humour and truth. I just found out about Thom's passing and am deeply touched. A very neat guy and a very kind, special soul. Pat Troy
Our paths only crossed twice with Thom but both times were memorable and meaningful. The first was at a lively CKUA party at the Auburn Saloon. The second meeting was as random as our first. Sitting on a beach in Tulum with a cooler full of Corona's, who should come walking along but Thom and some members of his family.Thom was appreciative of the cold beer and we shared some laughs. I thought what a cool guy and hoped our paths would cross again. Sorry to hear of his passing and our hearts go out to your family.
We send our condolences to Thom's family and friends. We were saddened to hear of his passing. His humor and wit will always be remembered. Thom was a wonderful friend, and client of our firm. Daniel F. Clark, CA Clark Adams Chartered Accountants
I knew Thom from the Elks Golf Course and enjoyed playing golf with him and of course socializing. He had a wonderful sense of humour and a smile on his face even though at times he was not feeling very well. He use to wear those strange nickers even when it was quite warm out. Thom never seemed to get hot. I know the people at the Elks who knew him will miss him so very, very much. I wish all the Best to his family in there time of sadness and grief.
We knew Tom from visiting with his mother Mrs. Betty Bainbridge on Lynnwood Ave. From time to time he would be there when my children delivered papers to her home or were stopping by for a swim or visit. Tom was humorous and usually smiling. Mrs. "B" as we often called her, often spoke of Tom and daughter Kathy. Condolences to the family from the neighbours on Lynnwood Ave in Chatham. Rick & Suzanne, Mark, Nathan, Laura Wiersma
I knew Thom when he was a little boy in Toronto. To my pal, Cath, and all of his family and friends...he will be missed. Love from Rob and Cal Morton
My deepest condolences to Tom's family. I remember Tom and his family well from our days at Lynnwood. His energy and interest in everything was one of the qualities I always remembered, along with his BIG smile.
My deepest sympathies to my cousins and family. My uncle taught me to never take life too seriously, live each moment to the fullest and make lemonade when life gave me lemons. Always fun, smart and wise, I will miss my uncle dearly.
Thom was a true friend. Thommy had many talents. He was an excellent geologist, a gifted writer and a talented golfer with a great sense of humour. He cared deeply for his family, his friends and his work and will be missed.
Thom was a true blue, one-of-a-kind, prospector. He sought and found riches in all areas of life-below the Earth and upon it. We will miss his humour, vision and generosity but we are all the richer for having known him. Condolences to the family. Time heals & fond memories remain. John & Jane
