Condolences
Dear Pani Wanda, Basia, Ania : We are so sorry to hear the passing of Pan Konicki. No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. But take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the arms of our Lord. I have fond memories of dearly departed Pan Tadeusz. May the love of family and friends comfort you all during these difficult days. "Umiera się nie dlatego by przestać żyć, lecz po to by żyć inaczej". Our most heartfelt condolences. Our family was deeply sadden to learn of the passing of Tadeusz (Ted) Konicki. During the 1960s and through the 1970s, he worked at the Calgary General Hospital with Boleslaw (Joe) Mieszkalski as bakers. Throughout this period, our families befriended each other. We spent time at each other's houses and enjoyed many happy meals together. Sadly, as can happen in life, people grow apart with the all the demands and priorities that arise. Such were the pathways that Ted and Joe found themselves on. However, the connection between them did not disappear. When at the passing of Joe in December 2012, Ted, Wanda and their families were in attendance at his memorial to pay their respects. It was so nice to see them again. It confirmed that despite the passage of time, there remained a connection. It is through this message today that we reconfirm that link and offer our deepest sympathies to Wanda, Barbara and Anne, their respective partners and children. We hold you all firmly in our hearts. Sincerely, the Mieszkalski family.
Dear Konicki family. I am very sad to hear of Tadeusz's passing. My dad worked with Ted for many years, as you will recall. You were able to come to celebrate my dad's life when he passed back in 2012--it was so heart-warming to see you again after so many years. I wish I could have come to pay my respects today, but please realize that I am thinking of you all and with you in spirit. I wish you all comfort and peace.
Our deepest condolences to your Mom Wanda, you, Pawel and Vita with Denver, Anna and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. With all our love Jola, Ryszard, Rob and Allison, Dan and Aga and Babcia Ala who sends a special hug to your Mum ❤️
Dear Konicki family, It is with heavy hearts that we hear about Tadeusz passing. He was a very honarable member of the Polish assiciation, and good friends with my dad John. May Jesus embrace him now in heaven where he can now rest in peace. Much love to you all! Teresa, Keith, and John
Dear Wanda, Barbara, Anne and all of Ted's family, our deepest condolences. When our family moved next door to Ted and Wanda nine years ago, we immediately knew how fortunate we were to have them as neighbors. We grew used to seeing them out together for walks in the neighborhood. Over time Ted inspired us with his stories of extraordinary times and places, and also with his deep love of home and family. We always admired his fabulous garden. We are going to miss Ted. With much love, Ita and Joe, Jacob and Nathaniel.
