Obituary of Tyler Paul Downes

DOWNES, Tyler Paul April 2, 1976 - Calgary Alberta April 25, 2021 - Calgary Alberta It is with sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Tyler Downes announces his passing from pancreatic cancer. He was at home surrounded by his loved ones. Tyler showed his love and appreciation with acts of service, always willing to lend a helping hand (or tool). He lived a complete life pursuing his passions: skiing, biking, boating, snowmobiling and running Mountain Bike City with his business partner and long-time friend Brad. Loyal and honest, he had a charming ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone. Tyler had an infectious energy that made others try new things they otherwise would have missed out on. He surrounded himself with amazing friends that walked with him through life and who provided him comfort and happiness in the past year. His biggest success and proudest joys were his son William and daughter Samantha. He was his wife’s biggest admirer, a loving son, caring brother, cool uncle and loyal friend. He leaves a big legacy and a profound void in our hearts. Tyler is survived by his wife Karolina, children, William and Samantha; mother and father, Royale and Paul, sister Lyndsay Lingard (Jeff) and their children Claire and Larsen. Tyler will also be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins, in particular, Auntie Gail Sherlock and cousins Mark and Lisa Sherlock (Kevin MacRae). He is survived by his parents-in-law, Maria and Karol Przybysz. Tyler was predeceased by his grandparents and Uncle Rolf Sherlock. A memorial celebrating Tyler’s life will be held at a later date.
