Dave was a great man, always enjoyed our coffees at MacDonalds with the gang.
I AM SADENED BY THE PASSING OF DAVE, A FRIEND SINCE THE 1970'S WHEN TALL DAVE WOULD WALK TOWARD THE K-MART PHARMACY ( i was a pharmacist there for 18 years) WITH ONE OR TWO OF HIS CHILDREN. ALWAYS SMILING AND WILLING TO CONVERSE . He was so very well versed and informed on a plethora of subjects, both as a listener and commentator. FROM THE MID 1980S AND ON, DAVE WAS EVER PRESENT IN THE MORNING COFFEE GROUP WHICH MET ALMOST DAILY AT HARVEY'S IM BRENTWOOD., AND UNTIL REENT MONTHS AT McDONALDS IN NORTHLAND. ON A MORE PERSONAL LEVEL, DAVE AND I SHARED A LOVE OF MUSIC, ESPECIALLY FROM THE BIG BAND ERA. HE COULD EVEN NAME INDIVIDUAL SOLOISTS IN MOST OF THESE GREAT ORCHESTRAS AND REJOICED WHEN I FOUND SOME OF THE RARE RECORDINGS HE HAD MISSED ALONG THE WAY. THIS PERSONABLE , HIGHLY INTELLIGENT AND COMPASSIONATE GENTLEMAN-FRIEND WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED AND HIS MEMORY WILL BE CHERISHED. MY EMPATHY GO OUT TO HIS LOVED ONES.
