Condolences
I was so happy to have known Laura. We attended church and the UCW for many years together in Airdrie, and she was the sweetest person I ever met. Once a month my friend Kim and I would set up an "old lady coffee" get-together with our friends from church, and I spent many hours laughing and chatting over lunch or pie with Laura, Alice, Pearl, and our other friends. These are my most precious memories. I'll never forget Laura.
Dear Vicky, Ken and family
I feel so grateful that over the past few years I have been able to visit with Aunt Laura. So many good memories; fun times with the three amigas in Wabamum, my Mom, Aunt Jean and Aunt Laura, delightful to see these lifelong friends enjoy each other’s company; visit with my aunt at her care home, always smiling, happy to see me and ready with her quick wit to crack a joke. My most recent memory was for auntie’s 100th birthday, enjoying her celebration, her family, looking fabulous with her famous beautiful manicure. I am blessed to have had Aunt Laura in my life. She will be forever remembered. Thinking of you all and wishing you the comfort that you Mom’s, grandma’s and great grandmother’s memories can have for you . With love, niece and cousin Sue
On behalf of the Airdrie Over 50 Club, we send our condolences and may the fondest memories somehow help you face each new tomorrow.
Aunt Laura and Uncle Don and Vicki were all welcoming to me when I moved to Calgary where I lived for five years. It’s where I met my husband, Russ, and they were as welcoming to him also. Being so far from home it was nice to have family in Calgary to visit have laughs and dinners with. We shared many laughs and hugs and I was so glad to be part of their lives during my time in Calgary. Just before Russ and I moved out east we had a family picnic with both our families which was a wonderful send off for us. Aunt Laura lived in Airdrie when we left and I know that home was very special for her and Don. Thanks for all the memories and I wish you all peace, comfort in your memories and love at this difficult time. Merrilynn, Russ and Katz xoxo
My dear aunt Laura was instrumental in my becoming an RN. I grew up in matheson and am part of the Doal family. The threads of our lives intertwined in so many ways over my growing years. So many stories and memories. Grateful to have been part of aunt Laura’s journey. Thank you.
Sending love to Vicky and family.
Hugs Marion
